You want to use registered mail for this.  It is the safest way to send a package in the US.  Everyone who handles the package is logged and I've never heard of a registered/restricted package being lost.  You can have delivery restricted so that the recipient has to go to the post office to pick it up, this removes the carrier as a possible point of loss.

I doubt you'll find someone willing to wait until you receive the package to be paid their Bitcoin.  I certainly would never accept that kind of risk or delay.

I would NEVER trust DHL in the US..... NEVER!!
Mind sharing your experience?

I used to work in the financial industry and dealt with lots of contracts that had to be sent back and forth.  The vast majority of these documents had to be sent overnight.  Of all the services we used DHL was BY FAR the least reliable.

I have sent and received a few 1000 packages over the last few years.  The only 2 lost items involved DHL in the USA.  DHL may be great outside the usa, but they suck in usa.

who was the most reliable if you don't mind me asking?

I have never had a probelm with Fedex, but have not used UPS enough to form judgement

Bitcoin is the greatest form of protest there is. Vote in the only way that really counts: with your money.

I had next to no issues with FedEx or UPS guaranteed overnight.  A few times a document was late, but they always arrived.  Also, if they are guaranteed by 10:30am and they are late, you get every penny of postage back.

Again... none of these carriers have insurance that will cover digital assets.  Even BRINKS will not cover digital assets as they have hand to hand delivery available.  However, their delivery must be business to business.

I do the same now - the one we seem to have the best luck with overnight is FedEx - in 10 years of me using them, I have only ever lost one package - and it was actually one sent to me by @phillipma1957 and that was like 2 weeks ago that they lost it - they promptly paid the claim, they accepted the blockchain transactions and our pms here as evidence of value/expense.

DHL... oh boy 3 lost packages and several destroyed but arrived packages and the majority of them late.

UPS... maybe a dozen or so that end up late but never lost any.

USPS... actually pretty reliable but slow - though I got a registered mail from Great Britain that was supposed to be signed for and not bent - it was shoved in my mailbox so was bent and had a hole in it. Oh, and they did not get my signature. The peelable sticker which they  are to take and return to sender for verification of receipt was still on the envelope. That was yesterday.

For digital assets - use a courier if its valuable, the expense will most likely be worth it.
