Asking for a little help!

I had been working a crowdsourcing in the gambling section and posted their to reward merit as well. However, i am short for merits so I guess the only thing i can do is to ask someone who could gave or reward merits on other users. If you think that their answers contributed help to the world of sports then giving a little bit motivation well do.

I am just hoping a little help but all will depend on you whether you will give merit or not. It was just to give more activity especially the gambling fans in here.

BTW i include sleeping in the poll for those who are really not engaging in any sports. So sleeping will fall for them. 😂😂

This is a completely wrong way, it could be characterized as a begging for merits in some way, regardless of the fact that you are not looking merits for yourself, but for others to whom they are promised. Merit as a reward for something are not literally forbidden on the forum, but in that case you should have enough stock to share them with someone.

Posting a topic requesting members to give merit(s) to another member here is wrong when there is a thread about it already on meta board created by Loyce. Lucius has given you the 100% answer and a link you can report the topic, merit sources do check the thread, even other member do check the thread, if the post your are referring to is worthy of merit, then, expect merit to be given to the post on the thread. I have reported many posts there before and of which most are merited.

I will suggest this thread to be lucked, imo, to avoid repeated replies.

This is just like another man working for you and you seek others support to fund you. I believe this is against the forum rules and regulations with anything associated with the forum.
Perhaps you can lock the forum for a while, after earning enough merits, you should open it and continue from where you stop. Isn't that simple?

Well, I guess in course of article, a part of it did highlight on possible games to bet on and again, it's sports and the gambling section as far as I know it is the only section you can post sports related contents such at those.

What I find very wrong is, in the OP asking users to aid in meriting deserving comments merits in a rather lucrative activity and to top it, the owner of OP haven't even given enough merit to satisfy users that the owner of OP has given to exhaustion, just 4-5 given to participants so far and it isn't enough to start a merit giveaway thread. The initiative wasn't out of place, at least it highlights reasons as to why certain individuals like certain sports. It's a cool thread.

You are right but there are also discussions about sports. Gambling section is for gambling and yes it is but there is also gambling discussion where you can discuss about the sports or esports there. It seems you did not include this one. I have been posting there sometimes and I did see many thread about football and other sports.

Also, why we must give it? you can ask someone to give a merit if the posts is deserve to get merit. based on your thread, you have responsibility to give them. Even if one has the intention of meriting a bunch of posts within a thread, based on their responses, I think it’s way better not to announce the fact. That way, you’re free from any self-imposed moral obligation, and you can merit at your discretion at any moment, without the added pressure of not being able to stand to the thread’s announced expectations if your sMerit tolls depletes, or if the answers are not satisfactory enough.

Every OP will appreciate the reply of what you want and that is reasonable in my opinion, but you promise to give merit to the best answer and you do not have enough smerit. You don't need to beg for merit to other members and literally someone will give merit if the post is beneficial to himself, the community and the public.

Well, you can;
• Bookmark those replies you wish to merit and revisit them at a later time when you have more smerits,
• You can also use this thread - [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source and a source or other members could find them.

While your motive seems good and I have come across replies of members asking others to consider a post for merits, I think starting a separate thread for it is not really necessary and could pass the wrong idea to newbies who regularly visit this board, leading to a possible abuse where users start a thread, replies with alt accounts and requests they be considered for merits.

I will be greatful to your votes and will give merits as well to promote activities in this section.

This is a quote from your thread on gambling discussion, and in my opinion, using merits as an incentive to promote engagements on a thread is not the best use of the system. As I said earlier, your motive could have been good, but not just executed as well.

I will not give you merit because you are asking in a wrong way and it's a manipulation to rank higher you are asking for merit so you can give merit to others but behind your motives, you are asking so it will be helping you to rank up, this is manipulative and this is a bad precedent for others they will do a similar trend asking for merits so they can rewards those who will answer.

Of course there will be discussion about SPORTS GAMBLING in that board but not about your favorite sports. Gamblers talks about transfer updates, injuries, possible winners or losers, odds, game results, and many other things that may influence your decisions in sports betting.

Do these questions talk about that what I just said?

1. What made up your mind to chose the sports you voted?
2. Do the sports you chose change your lifestyle? Yes or No and Why?
3. What could it feels when one day you will going to meet in person you idolized in the sports you like?
4.Is it possible that you will going to change the sports in the future? Yes or No and Why?
5. If you will be given 1 btc and ask you to quit following the sports you like the most, will you do it for 1 btc? Yes or No and Why?

I am locking this thread yeah because the thread was moved to off topic but I am not asking for merits to rank up. My intention was true to check or that was crowdsourcing I do not know why the staff had moved to off topic but I am not against it and will be locking this thread too.

Before locking this thread let me tell you that I am capable of earning merit and will not ask for it nor beg. Thank You!
