Problem with shapeshift

Guys I need help, I have 100+ shapeshift tokens in my shapeshift wallet and since I've wrote down the recovery seed before changing my smartphone I thought my tokens are secured but today I planned to redownload shapeshift wallet to take a look at my tokens but they are missing, The wallet address is now different from the first wallet address

I believe they not re-using the same address to receive a token/coins, so basically your receive address will be change every time you receive a transaction. You should ask them on their telegram group not here they are currently active.

But, seem like some people facing the same issue their 100 FOX token was also missing the best way to get this question ask to them not here because asking to them you will get an answer.

Shapeshift team can't be trusted, not even the wallet because they somehow have the power over people's fund, my friend also received the free 100 tokens and the tokens still disappeared, he never change his phone and he never uninstall the app either

If you can check on the address you've used before and the tokens are remaining there, there's a way to retrieve that. You have to ask the support and how it should be done because you can't the old addresses that you've used. As long as your tokens weren't moved and it is visible on the old addresses you used, there will be a way.

But SHAPESHIFT distributed their coin/token by internal transaction, so there will be no transaction on the chain because they just put the coin internally to your account & send to you without transaction on the chain. In a simple way, they just put a number coding on your shapeshift account.

Then UNINSTALL the apps and leave a bad review for them.

I also check their telegram group, almost 70-80% facing the same problem about losing FOX TOken. Well, it's just a free token for discount or other things about their exchange nothing to lose at all and estimation of the token could be cheep.

But, how they react to the problem better to leave their project/wallets.

I don't think the 100 FOX is for free anyways, they are given to people for trading on shapeshift exchange only without any need for transaction fee or trading fees, meaning if you have free FOX you can trade and withdraw without fee, yes the fee will instead be deducted from the FOX balance

FOX Token is their airdrop/promotion and gives by some user who registers and verified on their apps, and yes the fox token is their token used for like discount or trading fees. IMO just like other fee trading token, losing this token not really loss at all most type of this token can't be traded and only can be used as a trading fee.

It will be a profit for the one who trades more often because trading fee on such exchanges are always high compared to traditional centralized exchanges. But who is going to trade on shapeshift on regular basis? If someone wants to be a trader they will never choose anonymous exchange.

It's not gonna be profitable because 100 FOX = 7-9$

Then, how about a decentralized exchange? come one the main points of decentralized exchange when you can fully control all of our access and doesn't require any personal information at all.

The change of receive address might be because the wallet works like that of the old blockchain.info. I believe contacting their support will be of great help to you. Inasmuch you have your mnemonic words, your funds should be safe.
