So ive finally built my rig with those 3080 cards ive bought and noticed it generates plenty of noise and heat, is it possible to store it in an enclosed balcony, it has plastic windows on 2 sides, a concrete wall from one side and a plastic door for entrance, theres no way any rain can reach it, but what about condense and moisture? Is that a possibility.
With the heat it produces im pretty certain it would make the balcony dry and warm and since outside nowadays its either below 0 or just a bit above i think it would keep the rig pretty cool.

To summ things up, im asking if a rig could be stored in an enclosed balcony without exposing moisture to it.
Willing to provide photos of the balcony if needed.

Side question on a different topic, would a usb antenna work for mining if i wanted to switch from ethernet to wifi, need to use less cables if id put the rig in the balcony.

Dusts can actually cause problems so don't do that if you are from such area, it's better to get bad inside your home and get an extra cooling fan that use less watt power, they are very affordable I believe, you can get im electronic stores anywhere nearby

Theres no dust in the balcony no, im mainly concerned about the humidity and possible condensation on or inside the cards and possible condensation on the mobo.

GPUs normal temperature is about 50-65 C at work. Condensation can become a problem if you stop it for a several hours but even in such a way, it must be really huge humidity. I put rigs to wet sellar to dry it - it became dry at 2 weeks.

For nvidia graphic cards I suppose, but on Radeon GPUs their temp stable temp are 65°c to 75°c, those things are really hot lol, anyways I believe the rig will be safer inside than getting expose to the outside, OP should really work of cooling system instead

My farm was on the balcony.
The only thing to be afraid of is power outages. For example, if your farm is shut down for 5-10 hours, condensation may form. If the farm starts up by itself after turning on the power, a short circuit may occur.
You should move the farm to a warm room to evaporate the condensation and then return the farm to the balcony.
Such problems can only be in winter.

Man - Just start putting the rig anywhere. Don't think too much. Start with a small rig and you would learn a lot as you expand.

give me a minute I will find amazon wireless usb link .

as for condensation you will need to check rig a lot.

it may happen.

this is a good product for wireless rig

I actually tried this before with a few Antminer's I didn't care if they broke. The issue is basically if the dew point goes below a certain temp your entire rig will be covered in frost. Basically similar to how you need to scrap your windows in the morning in the winter months. This usually ONLY will happen if your rig crashes and turns off.

If your rig is left running all the time, the temperature will be enough to dry off any moisture. However since GPUs crash from time to time you might get hangs and if it hangs in the middle of the night, in the middle of winter you might damage some components.

keeping it in a small balcony with the window closed, each card not even 50 celsius, 3 rtx 3080 steady 100 mh/s with 229w and one for some reason crashes if i push over 92mh/s but thats not a balcony problem obviously Cheesy might be a faulty mobo or even riser

You are making a good amount of money. Get yourself AwesomeMiner, create some rules with alarms and/or automated events and your rig(s) can't be damaged, even if they stop running in this winter time.

This is the AwesomeMiner thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0
