First of all I want to clarify that I have only been mining for 3 days and learning how to do it

Since I don't have a good GPU, I'm trying to mine XMR. I am using a pool from minexmr.com and using the XMRig program

Is there anything better than this?

If I try with other pools or apps, will I have better H / S?

Which one do you recommend?

You already acknowledged you don't have a good CPU. It's not the pool's fault.

Too many people have too high expectations and think mining is easy free money
and too many jump in with both feet before realizing it isn't.

You're lucky you're reality check came before you wasted thousands on a shitload of
equipment. Now you can make a more informed decision about investing in mining.

Don't waste your energy and save your notebook from overheating - stop the miner. When I was new to mining I did exactly the same and was going for almost half a year. I still have access to that pool account and sometimes look at my 0003499 XMR and smile Smiley

Don't bother trying because you will only get the same result from for the pools, pools isn't responsible for better hashrate and I've used minexmr pool for long time in the past so I can say it's very reliable

Monero is not currently being mined on video cards. To mine it, you need powerful multi-core processors. See RANDOMX BENCHMARKS.
https://monerobenchmarks.info/
Video cards lose in mining on this algorithm, so it is better to mine other coins on them.
And don't do it on laptops, your laptop will break down faster than it will make a profit.
