I wish users can delete their own posts themselves.
do you mean thread/s? because members can delete their own posts except for the thread/s that they created.
To clear it up for OP

  • Posts can be deleted by users. No need to have forum admins' or moderators' help
  • Threads (topics) can not be deleted by users. Some solutions are
    • Sending a request to forum staffs (only if you have solid reasons for your privacy, security), they might (or might not) approve your request and delete it for you. Chance to get acceptance is very small.
    • Deleting OP content by yourself. Delete it all, replace by either "deleted" or "..." or whatever non-sense, but remember that thread, that opening post is still there.

Above all, there are scrapers to archive your post or thread so even if admins delete it on the forum for you, it won't completely be erased on the Internet.

Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ. If you are not satisfied with my answer, please use "delete" keyword and search in that topic, you will get more clarifications.

It's waste of time tbh, every few years you would find your past posts stupid.
Doing some house cleaning of old posts which may appear to affect the OP's reputation in the future is not a waste of time since the OP rank is still a member and her posting activities are not much. Besides, some merit source check that before they choose to give merit to forum users or add them to their ignore list and I once read a post made by Loyce where he/she advise someone to check and delete some of her post histories.
