Belgium can no longer play like they used to play. Their defeat to Morocco was another reminder that the generation of players that reached the semi-finals of the World Cup four years ago are nearing the end of the road. They were disjointed going forward, with Batshuayi and Lukaku ineffective in attack  and no inspiration from the midfield or the defense. I don’t know what is going to happen for qualify to the next round but if Morocco get a draw against Canada, and if Belgium cannot defeat Croatia, then they’ll have to kiss the tournament Goodbye.

Unfortunately the "golden generation" type of thing turned out to be not so golden after all. Belgium is good and all in the football world they have a place but that doesn't mean that they are that great anymore, they are showing signs of regression and I am expecting that they will probably stay like this for a while longer.

They need a better generation that is controlled or managed by a better coach as well. So far they have tried their best with this De Bruyne Lukaku generation but unfortunately nothing came out of it. I am not saying they should go for a world cup title, but at least not be as bad as losing to Morocco, they need to be a lot better.

Belgium really played badly from the start of their match against Canada, I didn't understand and failed to understand Roberto Martinez. he barely made any changes, when his team played at a very underperform. win over Canada is pure luck, then lose over Marocco. I really fail to understand, for the coach of this Belgian squad. in terms of team strength, Belgium actually deserves to advance to the next round. moreover, they have a FIFA rating of 2. however, they almost didn't show their best game.

In this F group, only Canada has been confirmed not to qualify for the next round. Marocco, Belgium and Croatia still have a big chance to qualify for the next round. however, the question. Can Belgium beat Croatia, where Croatia is better than its pattern of play. it even seems that Croatia will qualify for the next round.

the possibility that Canada will win against Morocco with 4 goals is very unlikely, they are not a club that can score a lot of goals. Morocco is not a weak club as we can see in their game against Belgium, in fact Canada is the weakest club in group F. Croatia is really a tough club, Belgium will fight and it will be difficult to win, meanwhile they have to win . this game. to qualify for the next round. It is clear now that we have our first two games of last 16, Netherlands vs USA and England vs Senegal.

Let's see how it will go, and I am guessing that it will definitely be an entertaining one, good teams that have a chance to beat each other with clear favourites anyway, that type of match ups are always more fun to watch because you know who you should wager on, and you know who will probably win, but since in football, surprises are not surprises anymore and so far we have seen some shocking results, we managed to actually come up with something good with these games. I am guessing Netherlands and UK will go on, but it will not be that easy to do, they will work for it.

Belgium will need to wait for the next set of stars that will represent the country. Their set of player now are old and the younger players aren’t of the quality.  2018 was different, they had a better chance. Hazard was a different beast back then, Axel was boxing the midfield in his days, Jan and Toby were at the peak of their careers as defenders. De Bruyne was killing it back then. Now all that’s gone. They’ll have to bring in a better manager that knows how to improve young players to spark the team.

Belgium is only 1 point different from Croatia which is currently leading Group F, which means the match between Belgium vs Croatia will determine whether they will qualify or go home. Belgium has a front line that I can say is perfect, so Belgium's chances of winning are still very big.
even though at the moment Belgium has star players who are old but they will always have a strong intention to win all the matches they will face so I am sure they will be able to finish it well.

The reason why Belgium have been playing this badly in the World Cup is obvious in fact. Because there are still huge problems in-team due to some special reasons between the players. There are many players who haven't been getting along with each other for a long time. For example, there are personal issues between Courtois and De Bruyne. The issue has been continuing for years between them. Lukaku - Batshuayi and E. Hazard - Trossard duos are the other players having serious issues with each other.

This is just destroying the team harmony and it reflects on their performances directly. The coach has really nothing to do in this situation because some of these are really deep problems and hard to solve as well. It is a pity that we can't see this amazing squad being able to do something in the World Cup.
