Hello guys, I'm new here and I want to ask

I've always wanted to create a raffle system where people would sign in with metamask and buy ticket each ticket would be around ~$1 and it will be pure based on the blockchain so no rigging or w/e

Lets say that by the end of the week when the raffle draw 10% of it would be donated to a charity 5% to dev team and the rest it will go to the winner

I'm already developing a concept like that in nodejs I would love to hear any suggestions from you

Would it work or Im just wasting my time

thanks in advance

From what I've seen on Bitcointalk, you're wasting your time. Even EV+ Raffles barely got any players, and EV- is completely ignored. Unless it's for collectible items, those Raffles are popular.

Expected Value positive or negative. EV+ is usually a promotion that doesn't earn the creator any money.

Of course I would drop my own money at the start to attract player for example the raffle will start with $500 and every ticket bought after that will go into the pool

It's that the same thing as using "RNG" system?

I have experience playing "LOTTERY" while the system is always automatically as well from the pict, the system and how we join the raffle (by sign our wallet to the website). IMO, it's not new at all.

People are just don't realize "WEB3" is already not new at all. In 2018-2019 we already seen a lot site using Integration Wallet to their service, the different we don't have "WEB3" word.

-snip-
Feel free find it on "Google".

Raffle on "Blockchain" is not a new things, we already have the system using "RNG" mechanism for the roll. Like I said, it's not new at all and most the time a project who doing raffle or have some gambling feature.

They 80-90% using RNG & using wallet for any kind service is also not new.
