Right now so many people cant get access to their Facebook account because of some technical issues, and even if it comes up many account will be loss. The reason am bringing this up for discussion is  because some of us we think the social media and email are the best place to store important details. Some people consider online as a good place of store for wallet seedphrase. Anything can happen to the server of this social media where information are store and account might get lose which it will be so difficult to get the important information stored on it.

Only fools keeps their seed phrase on social media, social media is easy to hack, ones you have the persons email, phones number you don't need the password of the account before you hack them. I prefer to write down the words on my seed phrase on 3 different pieces of papers and keep them separately. Doing this that will help incase one loss or something strange happened to it. IMO I think keeping your seed phrase far from anything that have to do with Internet is also better, internet is not a good place to hide seed phrase, some people save their phrases on their emails, emails can also be compromised any time.

Immediately i saw the news online that Facebook and Instagram account are down, the matter sef no shake me because i no get the use of Facebook account. Na so some of my guys start to dey call me say person don hack their Facebook account they no fit get access to am again. But imagine how person go dey save their information on Facebook? Or they think everything they are doing on social media na only them they see am. Nothing is safe on social media these days, we can get scam in any way. How e dey even come their mind say Facebook is safe to save information, Facebook wey dey easy than any other media's. Our emails as well, we should know the kind of password and informations wey we go save for our email, nothing dey trusted by this time.

I've said this on several notes that it isn't a wise opinion to store your secrecies onlines especially a networking system because once the system is manoeuvred or tempted by unauthorized party, then your secrecies are being exposed then your wallets can be invaded.

A lot of us also hope on the forum as a full time employment and we should also learn from Facebook that anything can happen at any time and there was a time I was also discussing with a member of the forum when he spoke about the forum been shit down someday just like with the recent case in the forum that lead to the exploit of the sister forum altcointalk and that is also a clear signal that the forum itself can be shut down someday if care isn’t taken.
Now my question is this,
What is your hope as a full time Warner on here if the forum suddenly goes down someday ?

Back to the subject matter, I’ve seen some replies where people are totally condemning cloud storage which isn’t right as personally I think over 95 percent of internet users store their data on google or iCloud which almost all of us are guilty of.

One of the best ways na to write them down for book, no be sheet of paper oo but full note book or joker. Well, you wouldn't blame many of us who use cloud storage for keeping details and files, because it's the computer age, and to some extent it's recoverable, even on a new device.
What difference is there between storing data on icloud or Google or on hard disks versus storing coins on either an exchange or a wallet, be it offline or online?

It's more a matter of what's easiest way to stay safe that is efficient and effective for us. That is for an individual I mean. Even the old method of ink on paper is still not as safe as one may think because in the wrong hands, such an information is gold.

Social media are just normally used to keep photos or videos. I don't think anyone can be that gullible to store seed phrase on social media. Information kept on social media are not really secured as it can be easily seen by others.

OP you are making a very much sense, many people has been found wanting in this, this thread has thought me a great lesson, it is important to learn before you learn from experience which is bad, during Facebook downtime I was among the persons that was shivering because I felt that my Facebook has been hacked but what help me was that I check my email their was know notification to that effect so I waited before it was restored.

It is important to know that storing anything online is not safe as we think because this site is owned by people, this same people may promise you safe based on the agreement to click but it might not be so at the end, the company that maintain privacy for now is apple and thats why no matter the cost price of iPhone people will always buy it.

I am surprised to hear of this ''people not getting access to their Facebook account'' because I been d login into with my Facebook any time I feel like without facing any challenge of being logout of such. Nevertheless, na who no know sae hacking of Facebook dey, dey carry sensitive information d store for em Facebook account just like that, without having it in mind sae writing those sensitive information for paper would have been better than storing it on Facebook wey hack go fit occur and those sensitive information go get access by the hackers.

Thank you for bringing this as a discussion, Facebook has been in excitance , nothing like the details will be wiped, Facebook is a very nice platform in time of communication,is a chat room where u can chat a friend from outside this country and also make videos with them,I think is the best communication community so far,so if someone can decide to save documents in Facebook I think it will be very save ,the owner of Facebook mark z,he do maintenance all the time to make sure that Facebook doesn't have any problem,is a very save place in time of saving of documents and pictures for future use,to me all the platform I have been using no one is realible than Facebook I like Facebook
