I have an old account with under 50$ on blockchain, i am thinking to use this for small payments using an altcoin that have small fees, i tried to swap but they ask me to verify my id.
That means i can't use any of these funds if am not verifying my id?

Yes.

If you want to exchange one coin to another coin on blockchain.com, that means you have to get verified. But you can use the wallet without verification if you do not want to convert from one coin to another.

But it is worth knowing that I can not recommend such a wallet to anyone.

I stopped using Blockchain.com as a wallet because they had lots of issues even my wallet before with backup seed couldn't recover the right wallet because it asked for additional verification. I also heard lots of hacked wallets on Blockchain.com so why did you decide to use blockchain.com as a wallet?

About the ID verification, I think that is the requirement before you can use the exchange from blockchain.com it's a 3rd party I guess but I think you can withdraw your BTC directly without verifying KYC.

Why not send it to non-kyc exchange like eXch? or Electrum wallet and send it to any exchange much better if you already have a verified exchange account then exchange it there.

so i can't do anything with the funds unless i am verifying this account, it's an old account maybe 10 years old. nobody asked me for id or anything i wish they would let me at least to withdraw.

That's very strange. But to be clear here, did they ask you to withdraw when you exchanged? or even right now as things stand, if you use your balance you always had to just try and send it somewhere else you're asked to verify your ID?

If you tried to use the exchange for example to swap from BTC to USDT, then in that case, it make a bit of sense that they are holding your USDT, and asking you to verify our identity... but if the swap neve rhappened, you still have your BTC, but at the same time you cannot withdraw.. then this make no sense.

Do you mind sharing a screenshot of the KYC page, or the message they're showing?

Are you sure it wasn't a pop up you can close or something? IIRC, this happened before and someone opened a thread about it in confusion thinking they need to verify their account.

Otherwise, it does appear your funds is sitting on blockchain.com's custodial wallet because they don't ask verification when sending from private key wallet (they call this defi wallet now too lol). But I'm not sure how could you get funds on their custodial wallet without ever verifying or anything? as I've always thought their custodial services are locked to verified folks or maybe I missed some policy changes from blockchain.com.

Perhaps you will find the answer to your question by reading the main topics.  By the way, there are also fragments of correspondence with Blockchain.com support and recommendations on how you can avoid refusing KYC, referring to limited KYC (submission to support only of your email address). 

Since showdowns with Blockchain.com support have a rich history, I would also suggest that you list here specifically what the support suggests you do.

Don't use the "withdraw" option, that requires KYC and only applies to back accounts transfers.

Instead, use "Send", then select the wallet where the bitcoins are from, then send to a Bitcoin address from another wallet or exchanger.
This doesn't need KYC but requires an on-chain transaction fee; however, you can only use your "non-trading wallet(s)" on this.

If the $50 amount is in your "Trading Account", then there's nothing you can do about it but to comply with their demands since it's in the custodial part of their service.

Yes it was a pop up, only i can close this and i can acces the send button, but i receive small amount of bitcoin few years ago, and blockhain split my bitcoin in bitcoin cash, ethereum and usd. or maybe i converted them few years ago and i don't remember.
I have 2 balances , one in defi and other one in trading :
20usd i can't see in what probably , but i don't see any option to tranfer this, i can send only crypto, if want to buy crypto i need to verify.
 
0.0003btc in defi wallet
0.006Ethereum. in trading account
Processing Fee
0.00176321 ETH (US$6.34) because is in trading account if it was in defi it would be 3$

So because i have money split in 3 i will lose a bit for each transaction, i can't send them all in one transaction.

I don't know what your financial situation is, or where you're from, but this is definitely not an amount I would recommend people to give their identities for. Withdrawal whatever amount you can without doing KYC, and call it a day.

For now, that's not worth it to just give away your identity but maybe in the future if those coins under your account increase in value you don't have any other choice but to submit your identity to be verified and withdraw all your coins out from this online wallet.

I see lots of changes on the blockchain wallet it is not the same as before when we have a seed backup or a backup file that we can recover anytime to other wallets but in your case seems different and don't have a chance to recover using your backup.

You must have converted them, even with the Wallet/Exchange's low reputation;
Your Bitcoins wont be moved and converted to Altcoins to their custodial trading account without your consent.

And unfortunately, you can only send the BTC in your "Defi Wallet" without KYC, not the ETH in your Trading account.
And with the current state of mempools, you might have to spend about 1/4 of its amount as fee.
But you can customize it to be lower than the default/priority by clicking "Customize Fee" if you think the suggested fee it too high,
but do not set it too low (about 10sat/byte or lower) or it might stay unconfirmed for weeks or even months since they do not drop transactions in their mempool (ref).

If you do not actually need it I'd suggest to keep your recovery phrase from "Settings->Security->Secret Private Key Recovery Phrase" that can restore that "Defi Wallet" in other clients.
Then restore it only when its necessary to spend the amount or when the average fee rate is low.

It's up to you, quite easy to decide if are you planning to use their Exchange and Trading service on a regular basis, no other options, or if it's just to spend the remaining $30 one-time.

If that amount is dearly to you then you have to do your thing and what you think is best for you. I've used that wallet long time ago but then a lot has changed, it's several years ago until I've used them. As said by our friends here, they won't recommend to do that but if that amount could do something a lot better for your life as of this moment, you have to do what you gotta do.
