So at this point I decided to bring it here to know or see different views from different intellects here on why some do some people hide just to gamble or if it is the best way to gamble ?.

They may feel comfortable not to gamble in the public and it is possible that they do not see it as hiding but as something just normal for them to do because they may think it is better to let it be that way.

But if gambling is not legal in your country, that means they can not gamble in public.

There some gambling practice that are not legalized in some part of the country, but I believe gambling like sport betting is legalized in  every part of the world. But however, on e of the reason why most people tend to hide to gamble is because those addicted gamblers has really passed a negative information about gambling to the general public such that most persons might notwant to regarded as an addicted gambler and may decide to hide to gamble, as for me I don't give a fuck about what people may say am a proud gambler and I know my limit so there is no point for me to hide to gamble.

Yes, one of the reasons why gambling has a bad stigma in the eyes of society is because of the actions of gamblers who are addicted to gambling where they treat gambling very wrongly so that they end up experiencing many bad effects over time, they gamble but without being based on the right understanding of how gambling is actually so that in the end bad effects befall them which in the end when they suffer a lot of problems then obviously the people in the neighborhood around them will certainly know their life situation which is getting worse and worse.

I don't understand what you are saying here. Hiding while gambling is not a strategy to make wins in gambling. It is the bet and games you play that determines your wins or loses. If you choose to hide whenever you are gambling i feel you will not be relaxed and comfortable to gamble because you will be watching if someone is seeing you do so. I agree. Some people are giving opinion based on their experience and they know the effect of gambling for a gambler who don't have self- control. Legally and morally, gambling isn't a bad engagement if you ask me especially when a gambler is gambling responsibly but because of the fact that majority of modern day gamblers usually end up as gambling addicts, the general society now sees gambling as a bad vice and that's why many people who still engages in gambling does it in the secret so they'll not be harshly judged by people who doesn't value gamblers.

But don't let this younger sibling become the same as OP, who gambles which could only add to problems in the future. I was walking down my street this evening I saw some group of guys in a hidden corner of an uncompleted building playing WHOT games ordinarily I felt they are just spending usual time as friends and that they are playing the WHOT game to keep themselves busy while discussing.

But when I got closer to them I discovered that there was a dirty container close to them and inside the container is money they bet for the game they are playing , and if not careful observed you will never believe that they are playing bet games .

Yes one of the most common reasons why gamblers hide their gambling activities is because they are in a country that prohibits gambling, and when a country prohibits gambling then obviously everyone is prohibited from engaging in gambling regardless of minors or adults, because the rules apply to everyone in the country. And rules are meant to be broken, I'm not encouraging anyone to break rules but certainly most people don't like rules.

That's true as there are people who are involve but can't brough things out and like what you said, they are hypocrite which keep saying something but doing another thing, though we can't hide the fact that behind that there's always criticism that people always wanted to stay away, they can't face the reality in where involvement into something and getting criticize is a big deal to them,

I guess it's more on how a person embrace the truth and how they handle whatever pressures behind it and how they will deal to continue things out without worrying.

There are many things to consider when a person is hiding his gambling problem.

One. Underage.
Two. It's against their traditional belief.
Three. The wife/partner is against gambling.
Four. Strict parents even if you are over 21, because you are still living under their roof.

There are many gamblers who hide themselves from gambling only out of religious feelings and family traditions. Gambling is prohibited by religion and many people refrain from gambling or keep it secret due to personal occupation and career. That's true family and tradition is one of the major factor that could possibly make someone to hide while gambling and sometimes religious could also make or prevent somebody from gambling because so many people has different belief because were I come from most people are so religious that they feel that gambling is a sin as such they prevent there children from doing it but however when the children will grow up and realize that those things are not actually a sin as they were made to believe by there parents so they will start gambling but will make sure they hide it from there parents, actually I have witnessed a case like that and out of the respect and fear they have for there parents they hide from them so that it will not break there heart.

That's true family and tradition is one of the major factor that could possibly make someone to hide while gambling and sometimes religious could also make or prevent somebody from gambling because so many people has different belief because were I come from most people are so religious that they feel that gambling is a sin as such they prevent there children from doing it but however when the children will grow up and realize that those things are not actually a sin as they were made to believe by there parents so they will start gambling but will make sure they hide it from there parents, actually I have witnessed a case like that and out of the respect and fear they have for there parents they hide from them so that it will not break there heart.

Religion can makes someone hide their gambling activity from other people although they knows that gambling is prohibit by their religion, but they still playing gambling. That person can playing gambling secretly when no one is around him so he feels that he can enjoy his time by playing gambling. Parents prohibits their children from playing gambling but many parents doesn't knows if their children can playing gambling secretly with their friends. Maybe we have seen some children playing gambling in a room or their friends house so that will needs more attention for parents to watch and guides their children.
