Hello, This happened to me today, on a provably fair Dice Bitcoin gambling site I lost some money, then I checked my bets using an online verifier, in their website they say they use SHA512 algorithm to hash server seed, however, when they revealed the unhashed server seed I checked it using a SHA512 calculator... It should match the hashed server seed they provided to me, however, it does not match.

So the hashed SHA512 of the server seed is different from the hashed server seed they gave to me when I started my session. Isn't that considered cheating? I mean they probably are calculating right the dice value, however, the only fact of having wrong information on their provably fair statement should be enough for a legal complaint, shouldn't it?

Please someone tell me if it is enough to put some lawyers to work, or if it would be just a waste of time. Thanks!

It's also worth noting that, in addition to any legal remedies, you might file an issue with the gambling site's customer service unit. This may not result in compensation, but it may be a means to express your concerns and maybe draw attention to any weaknesses in the system. It's likely that the disparity was a mistake, rather than a deliberate attempt to confuse or scam you. But it's critical to at least raise the matter and attempt to get some answers. If you can gather further proof and documents, you should speak with a lawyer who concentrates in gaming or online laws.

...
It's illegal to run a scam casino everywhere in the world and it's universal rule lmao. Even if casinos were legal in a country doesn't mean scam casinos are legal. So technically, a scam casino is illegal everywhere but a legit casino will be illegal or legal depending on the jurisdiction of the country.

That's right, it's totally illegal to do it. And this is why it's important to do gambling on sites with a gambling license, at least that way we know the casino follows the rules and they are provably fair.

how can those scam casinos start if they dont present them selves as legal ? but being legal also means it is allowed or not banned and not mean that it was scam . there are illegal gambling but are not scam because gamblers can still earn a profit with them . they called illegal because they dont consult to the government before they start their own business .  its risky playing on illegal casinos because if its been shut down you can loose your funds and wont get refunded or you can also get in jail
For shorter solution, everytime that we encountered scam or bogus casinos better report right away and broadcast here in forum so experts can take a look if they are truly legit or scam.
There is nothing wrong for being Vigilant because this risk players money and also the reputation of Online gambling.
Absolutely a thing to do and to stop them from hunting innocent individuals. But before that, we should also have to show some proof that this site as fake and illegally operated otherwise, you're complaint will just be wasted. Reviews can be fake, scammers will hide their intentions just to looked reliable and can be trusted but somehow, and at the end of the day, they will show who really they are and carrying the money away from gamblers.
actually we don't need to show proofs that early because we will only need to ask the experts here about what they can find about the sites.

there are many reputable people here that can check and prove about the legitimacy or the coming scam of each project.
and eventually many answers will come for clarification and assurance if they are scammers or now.
Actually, it needs to, but the thing is that the OP's complaint might not be valid. Let's say he uses the thing that the website is using for randomization, but that doesn't mean that it is being used by the website. The same result will also appear to the OP. There is a lot of coding or complexity in the website and its games, so don't expect a mere customer to get the same result just to say that the website is illegal and cheating. And yes, if they want to, weto get the same result just to say that the website is illegal and cheating. And yes, if they want to, weto get the same result just to say that the website is illegal and cheating. And yes, if they want to, we can ask for the opinions of experts in the IT field in order to validate the claims of the OP, but of course, without a reference, an expert couldn't investigate, and for sure, a website will not allow anyone outside to investigate their system. Because their system might be compromised, and that is for their confidentiality and safety.
