If you are into investing for a long term, utility tokens are the best bet. You can combine a number of older/successful and newer/potential coins. I have sometimes suggested against Ethereum but as it's ETFs are on verge of being traded, it is bound to have a higher price and retain it, so it would be a safe yet profitable investment. Solana is easily the best thing you can buy below $200. Unless something drastic like shutdown of Solana network for hours or a large vulnerability, nothing stops Solana from getting to $2000 in some time. It's an easy and safe x10. Likewise you can go for newer utility tokens that are promising, just don't go with old ones like Cardano or NEM or likewise.

Top 20? Hmm.. but what about top 10 instead? As I think they are more reliable. I believe that the coin's ranking says it all about them or they won't be in that spot if they are not that good enough.

We may need to gain more experience first before we engage in a more riskier project, so that we can have a higher success rate at them and then if we lose, at least it won't lead for a total disappointment because we already earned something before and then we can always go back to those legit projects that we know. That should recover our losses. Also, before we start, it's better to know our goals first if we are into long-term or for the short-term only.

I think it really depends on whether it's in the top 10 or 20, I would still prefer buying the crypto that will surely have a future and the price will go up much higher for altcoins like like SOL, BNB, ETH, and TON. Also, taking advantage while the market is down is really a great tactic and sell if the price becomes higher but it will depend on the trader if they want to gain profit for half or full assets.
