If this information is correct that they over paid the FG workers during the festive period then this said amount  that's said to be an over stretched amount does it include Christmas bonus??? If not then I don't think they should cut anyone's salaries but if the initial bonus was included and the amounts paid were still large then getting it back is not a bad idea. But here is my problem, this government is not looking out for its people at all. How do they intend to get this money back?? How are we sure that they won't over cut the salaries of these workers? How are we sure that the amount that would be realised after this exercise will not surmount the initial amount that was disbursed? And if the amount realised after retracting funds in other to get the over disbursed amount is more that what was given out will there be a refund or will they pocket the money.  I can't trust anything from these people because their lies fit make person think say him dey insane.

The President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government has ordered continuous salary deductions from federal workers to recover "excess payments" made in December 2024, blaming the situation on a system error.

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) confirmed in a Friday statement, signed by its Director of Press and Public Relations, Bawa Mokwa, that deductions are ongoing and will continue until the overpaid sums are fully recovered.

This move has come as a shock to many civil servants because when the money was paid last December everyone thought it was exmass bonus which is usually what is done during festive periods, what do you think that the situation?

Our leaders are so wicked. I don't believe they should think of this in this hard time. Civil servant are suffering, their pay rate is far more than their expenditure. If they are overpaid by December and the government want to remove that from their salary, this should be done in a way that won't affect them.

Well if it’s as a result of excessive payments made on December 2024 that led to the deduction of the salaries of civil servants I don’t have a problem with that, obviously they are trying to recoup their money back. You know this present government are very tricky and selfish that they devise trickery means to achieve what they want as far as it will benefit them alone undermining how the masses will feel about their decision. Who knows if they are doing it deliberately so they can pay off the debts they owed china you never can tell, but let’s watch and see how long the deduction continues. Na them Dey borrow money, but na we Dey pay back indirectly.

We all voted this man in,and now we are complaining, lol,
As for me,I don't know anything about him,I never voted for him because I knew he was already old and his way of reasoning will definitely affect people.
If when things are already like this in the country, that he is ordering for deduction of salary,it simply means he doesn't know what he is doing. He enjoys when people suffer more,he has no regret about any action he takes because at the end of the day, nothing affects him.
