I have a different views with beginners feeling over confident after a few winning streaks, which we call it beginner's luck. They might going to go for increased betting spree hoping to maximize the opportunity, but once they experience a tragic lose, they normally would think to quit immediately as if gambling was a huge mistake for them. I met a few people who's actually like this and they never went back to gambling. Some had came back but not regularly, they just casually betting on their favorite teams.
Greed is part of the human nature. In gambling the most susceptible people are the ones who have enough experience. Some has the ability to control it, but some choose not.

It's not just gambling alone; what you said is true. When someone is excited, they can make huge promises to anyone. In this life, we should just learn not to put interest in the promises of someone if not we will get disappointed. What you can do is not say a word to him about the money, just let everything be and be his friend as usual.

If your friend had lost in his bet. You will notice he would stick to you for you to show compassion for him. Funny enough money won in gambling does not last forever, he will spend it all someday and then come back to you.

I cannot agree less on this. Money has made a lot of persons show their true character. They be hiding their true self's until they have the money, but one thing is certain in life, money doesn't come easy unless you cheat your way in getting it, but it leaves the hand faster than the way it came. Meanwhile in gambling i will not be surprised someone acts this way after winning a good sum of money. First thing first, do you know how long he has been toiling in betting sites before that win or how much he has loss in his entire gambling experience. For us not to think money is the cause of this let us stop putting our hope on money that was promised because money not in hand is no money at all.

I would like to really agree with your opinion that when a gambler is on the winning streak that could be a Obstacles for them to leave gambling.
If we look at this in a small way, for example, if we who gamble regularly win after wagering, we often become overconfident and as a result, we wager again, and in this way, we sometimes go from profit to loss.

I have shared with the community before how I stopped gambling and am currently healing from that addiction. However, recently I had an interesting experience with a friend who was just getting started with sports betting (football). He placed small bets on several football matches, and to his excitement he won 10 out of 11 in a combined bet. He was excited and waiting the final match, knowing it would bring him a huge gain. I supported him telling him he would win and he even promised to give me 10% of his earnings if he won that combined bet with around @1400 odds in total.

The match ended with a win and we were both happy. Personally, I wasn't concerned about receiving any money from him as I was more focused on my recovery to not set a bet or deposit ever again. However, the next day my friend avoided me and didn't follow through on his promise even though I wouldn’t have minded if he didn’t.

It's a game,there is no point disturbing yourself about what your friend has done in as much as he made the promise,but if he has decided not to show concern for what he has happened, there is no problem, but I will still tell him what, I want to, never minding his reactions.

On the time or moment that you do become that confident because you have win up on which the primary thing that comes up into your mind is that you have won then it does mean that you can win up even more.
Its one of the most common mistake of gamblers is that they do become that confident at the moment you do win and made out such decision that they will be playing even further because they do believe that they can win up even more on which this is a very bad mentality. Regrets do always come at the end on which on the time that they do lose money then this is where they do make out some realization. Gambling should be just that for fun and entertainment and not something that could replace your day job on trying out to make some income source.
