In terms of Bitcoin ownership, Satoshi is superior, while in terms of wealth, Elon Musk surpasses Satoshi. So in my opinion, there is no reason for Elon Musk to replace the position of the 12th richest person in the world in terms of Bitcoin ownership, after all, who can identify Satoshi is an Individual (not a group).
Perhaps one day there will be an institutional investor or a country that can buy Bitcoin beyond the amount that Satoshi owned as its adoption becomes more widespread. Awareness of the profits that Bitcoin can generate is increasingly encouraging several large companies to collect as much Bitcoin as possible because its price will continue to increase over time.

It is possible that some wealthy countries will make bitcoin a reserve asset - the talk is already there, but we are just waiting for the right time. Imagine if this discourse became a reality - how much money would those countries spend on buying bitcoin and accumulating them over time?

Satoshi's bitcoin holdings are certainly numerous - but since the wallet is no longer active, the number will not increase significantly even though some people may try to donate some sats to it. Institutions, groups, individuals or countries may still be the largest holders in the future - their positions will rotate and bitcoin will become increasingly scarce.

He wasn't talking about replacing Musk replacing Satoshi in terms of Net Worth but in terms of Bitcoin held. The 1m Bitcoin Satoshi holds is worth about $120 billion right now. Elon musk Net Worth is $410 billion right now so 1m BTC is less than 1/3 of his net worth. But if Musk tried to buy 1m BTC it would make the price skyrocket and then he probably couldn't buy 1m BTC even if he spent his entire $410 billion net worth on it.

But of course people buying massive amounts of btc don't buy straight from market they buy it otc and from other parties that are already big holders. So the question is could someone find enough large private holders on BTC that are willing to sell? And would the total amount of btc from those private holders willing to sell total over 1m btc? It's unlikely but not completely impossible. We've seen cases where governments have sold over 100k in single auctions and other instances where private holders have sold large amounts. If someone were to focus on all these large individual sales over a period of years I think it's actually possible they could pull it off.

Michael Saylor is not as rich as Elon Musk. Maybe OP assumes that the world's richest man can invest a large chunk of his wealth in Bitcoin, owning more than Satoshi. Nothing is impossible, but I don't think Elon has such intentions. With the price of Bitcoin appreciating, achieving such a dream will keep becoming difficult. And how are we sure that Satoshi doesn't own more Bitcoin in other wallets? It is better not to argue on assumptions that their outcomes cannot be valid or reliable.

Musk wouldn't invest that much in crypto; he'd have to spend his entire fortune on it. He's too smart to do such a thing; he enjoys making money through investing and speculation. Elon Musk isn't really interested in Bitcoin if I should say so, so buying the number of Bitcoin to rival that of Satoshi will just mean he wants to do that for publicity stunt and nothing else. Satoshi will keep increasing in wealth because Bitcoin will keep surging. Now that Satoshi is in the wind, we can't speculate if they would add to their holdings but for the time being, I think the title of biggest Bitcoin holder would still go to Satoshi Nakamoto.

There has been no record of a single individual who owns bitcoin in large volume except for Satoshi, the founder of Bitcoin, and only organisations that own large volumes, but according to the river.com website, the Winklevoss twins own ~70,000 BTC, which they had bought very early when the price was still low. As for Elon Musk, no one can tell if he owns bitcoin in large volume, as he has never come up publicly to talk about any large volume bitcoin ownership. But I believe there are people still secretly stashing bitcoins in different wallets as they do not want to call attention to themselves, but with time, things will reveal themselves.

If we take more years passed, I think that it's possible that it won't be satoshi that holds a million of Bitcoins. It will only be a matter of time when that happens because many of these rich folks are already eyeing to have bitcoin. It's not only the institutions that have shown interests on it but also some rich people will also start to accumulate then. I do not think anyone can easily tamper with Satoshi's Bitcoin. You could imagine how sophisticated what he invented is, and imagine how sophisticated his keys would be. Anyone even thinking of such should not waste their time because they would never succeed in carrying out such a plan. As for his identity, thanks to him for not unveiling himself, because Bitcoin would have long been in extinct by now. Maybe the curiosity would continue to increase more and more, but they would never get to know who Satoshi is, as I believe that would be the last thing he would ever do to let people or the world know about his identity. The day he does that, that would be the beginning of his problem and possibly a shake in the bitcoin ecosystem.
