It is still uncertain whether Satoshi refers to one individual or even a group of people let's say Satoshi is one individual with this it can be ensured that no one can surpass his bitcoin ownership even though that person is elon musk because most of musk wealth is shares in the Tesla and Spacex companies but if it is an entity or a country there is still a possibility to surpass Satoshi bitcoin ownership.

Elon Musk isn't really interested in Bitcoin if I should say so, so buying the number of Bitcoin to rival that of Satoshi will just mean he wants to do that for publicity stunt and nothing else. Satoshi will keep increasing in wealth because Bitcoin will keep surging. Now that Satoshi is in the wind, we can't speculate if they would add to their holdings but for the time being, I think the title of biggest Bitcoin holder would still go to Satoshi Nakamoto.

However, in terms of Bitcoin holdings, I don't think any individual will be able to overtake Satoshi. However, governments or corporates can do. But even to achieve that, hundreds of billions of dollars will be needed. So for Bitcoin holding, Satoshi is the clear winner. I don't think anyone would try to overtake him.

If someone has that much money, he wouldn't have to prove anything to the world by becoming biggest Bitcoin holder.

I mean, this does not make sense at all given that Elon Musk currently holds the top position of the richest man in the world. Additionally, the comparison of billionaires to Satoshi is somehow unfounded given that majority of the latter's fortune came from BTC solely.

If we were to rephrase this question and ask on who amongst the giants holds the most supply of BTC, then the answer would be Satoshi as it is estimated that he owns 750,000 to 1.1m BTC¹, though his wallet seems to be untouched for years.

Well, I doubt that it will be Elon Musk. It's likely that it will be Michael Saylor's MSTR although it won't count as an individual/person. If it's just with individuals, maybe there won't be anyone would hold a million bitcoins and will start accumulating today. The likely is that these financial institutions will hold a million and it's a cumulative effort by their corporations and investors. I cannot think of any other personalities that could reach satoshi's level in holding Bitcoin. Maybe, someone from Saudi Arabia and of the same royalties, the princes or kings.

Why are you mentioning Elon with the Bitcoin holdings shit when he's no where to be found. Satoshi going to be the richest of all time even without doing new things just be holding and that's incredible, I could see no body completing with him even if many companies combined together to be purchasing daily, he just keeps on moving.

So, if you say he's in 12th place the richest person in the world, that's a bit inaccurate.

If it were an institution/government, it might be possible, as they have more resources. However, if it were an individual, I don't think anyone could hold more Bitcoin than Satoshi, since individuals have limited resources and would prefer to diversify their assets and not invest them all in Bitcoin.

Let me throw a question back at you, how do you think that anyone is going to be able to replace Satoshi. Like how is that going to happen? As it stands right now, I do not think a single entity can take that top spot. It is only an institution or government that can in anyway knock-off Satoshi from the number position because they can easily accumulate that much bitcoin without any hassle if they intend to do so.

As Bitcoin has a limited supply, it's obvious that Satoshi Nakamoto holds 5% of Bitcoin, so I actually think that if Bitcoin continues to increase as the day passes, he will either remain among the number 11 richest person in the world or even closer to the fifth position. Why Satoshi Nakamoto can not be beaten in terms of being among top 11 richest person is basically because his wealth continues to increase as long as Bitcoin is skyrocketing.

I also saw it as the 11th richest person base on the current market price of bitcoin which makes it worth around $130 billion but the question remains whether this ranking is actually needed, for me it is baseless because Satoshi isn’t even confirmed to be a person or an entity at the moment. Also this bitcoin is on a dormant address, although for me Satoshi is just to smart to lose his keys but technically it is possible and this simply means he doesn’t have the ownership to what he is been rated with. so I don’t think he should be rated anyways.

As for so there anyone capable of surpassing this holdings, personally I doubt anyone will simply buy more than 1 million bitcoin right now, best I see is all this institutions like ETF institutions having such amount of bitcoin and technically that’s not there’s also as it belongs to investors. The highest holders are currently just holding slightly above half of what Satoshi has and they are even exchanges which means it doesn’t belongs to them too

It is reasonable that for now, no one can beat Satoshi in terms of Bitcoin holdings, but perhaps in the future some companies may be his equal in terms of Bitcoin investments. Among those companies we can mention the name of Microstrategy and the new treasury BSTR out loud because the company controlled by Michael Saylor still has about 600k Bitcoins intact. It may be true that Elon Musk has not yet expressed interest in investing in Bitcoin but a few days ago it became clear that a new American party of his will accept Bitcoin.
Maybe it can be said that Elon Musk cannot replace Satoshi because he is not fully interested in Bitcoin so maybe no entity will be able to take that place, it is clear that the value of Satoshi holding increases with each ATH.

Don’t know why they keep coming up with these comparisons for a figure that you can’t even tell if it’s a person, brand or an organization. We all like to think Satoshi Nakamoto is a person, possibly did all these alone or not but with that certainty, even the few known address might end up not being a coin owned by a single individual.
Just like you said, Satoshi Nakamoto couldn’t care any less and the desire to remain anonymous fits the innovation.

The idea of possible withdrawal of some of these coins is just a means to create FUD but they seem to forget one thing, the market is so large that it could take just whatever comes in and bounce right back to normalcy.

I'd say there will be nobody that can overtake satoshi's bitcoins holding except institutional investors which in essence owned by many people.

So far, I just can't see any billionaires out there moving their capital to btc out of the blue as an individual.
