If you did go through his profile you should be aware that as for the month of June Mia Chloe earned 65 merits from non Nigerians which gives him about 30+ smerits. If you learn how to earn merits, then you should know how to spend your smerit, from looking at his profile Mia Chloe isn't depending on his source before disbursing merits, let's be frank on this aspect. OP sendables from earning originally outside the board is near to equal what he gets as a merit source.

This makes me to ask, can other LB members categorically say this that their own local board they are building for years is damn bias in sending and receiving merits, knowing fully well that, em get reputable members wey full for their LB.

I have a general question for the board , if I create a gang and begin to get bias in merit sending and Charles-Tim and other merit sources do same how will the board grow? Everyone is trying as much as possible to stay away from this thread simply because it's the truth and 80% or more are guilty of what I'm saying. It's a shame no one can defend a fellow local board member here because the person bursting is saying the truth.

People grew without any of those people you think, there is nobody that is God here so stop feeling like one. I have earned my merits genuinely so I can boast about that. Those making examples with other boards, how many times have you seen a russian or German or Italian tagged? Are you saying they don't help themselves? Of course they do but they let the growth reach all but here it's a different case. Those who benefit from the shitty system see it as peak.

Most of them don't get tagged because their languages are not easily understood by the others and in their local boards, they don't blow whistles like you've done here. You believe there are gangs, then meet the gangs off forum and try to fix things up so that they can do better in the forum.

I would bluntly tell you and all merit sources that the reason you guys think the members are no meeting up with your expectations is that there is not enough flow of merits here in the LB, Starting from you guys. Mia you are trying seriously, I have even tasted your generosity both here in the LB and on the general boards, I personally wished your allocation was bigger than the others approved at the same time as you because I perceive you as more generous and unbiased. This issue concerns our LB and we have to treat it locally and not best here in the forum.

I have a proposition. Your allocations are limited and if you merit sources for a start can do a 5-month experiment from now to the end of this year, you'll see changes and that is Keeping at least 60% of your source allocations, not your earned sMerits here in the local board and distribute it_{That would mean over 150 merits dedicated for the LB from the sources}. I tell you that if LB members see that it is flowing more, everybody would want to support the moving train since you know that the merit sources are more committed to the LB, thereby seeing here as a growing environment.


Ever wondered why you see everyone hailing CryptopreneurBrainboss? It is because even with his limited allocation, it goes round on a steady and he is unquestionably the most dedicated merit source to the LB. This is a call for more dedication to the LB both from the merit sources and the members at large.

Finally, Mia you need to observe good netiquette when expressing yourself online. You do not just lash out at people because you are angry, it is good to mince words so as to appear learned, I love Hatchy's words, he was pained, but he managed to conceal it in some heavy, but effective words. I also think it is time you create threads to encourage this LB members and in it state your recommendations to achieve a better LB rather than being the harsh sheriff.

My broda na you just express the truth as it is about the way op take address this issue. The expression no mature of someone like am. There's a way person go wan talk something very important but the manner him take put am out go make him whole point appear irrational and unacceptable. And na just wetin op do now.

No body way no want the betterment of the his our LB just as the op, and that's why issues like this as him take talk am go rather than make us good name dey instead spoil our name outside because no be outsiders the come this our local board to check wetin the sup. Abeg, with the way this discussion dey go for this thread I really no like am, because if an outsider come choke eye for some things wey people don talk here, eh no go really speak good about this our local board wey we all don collectively make sure eh exist for this forum. So abeg, my sincere advice to our new merit sources be say, please no body been forced una before applying to become merit source, and when una been apply, una no been apply to force people to send their smerits, even though it's worth doing, so I go advice make una just comot mind for there, and do the exact job you applied for, which is meriting posts that deserves to be merited, and since una allocation is very small, I go also advice if una wan send merit to person, make una no send more than 5 at once, to avoid suspicion from other forum members who might feel left behind."[/b]  

Because unfortunately, I'm happy I was lucky to have been on this forum when we never had a local board, and even when we had and cryptoprenuerbrainboss was just the only merit source we had, you will notice everything was going smoothly. He never created a thread discussing why people where not sending their merits, but yet did his job professionally by distributing at least 1 or 2 merits to every quality post he came across So abeg, make una do una job and avoid too much complaining. Because if una no send huge amount of merit worth suspecting, nobody go talk.

Frankly speaking I don't even know what to title this post that's why I had this as a title. Firstly I'm saying this even if I know it won't change a thing on the board but I believe it's worth saying. This board is damn too biased in merit sending and receiving. It obvious and anyone coming here to defend it is obviously part of it.  I've been out of smerits for a while now and I've been surfing around just to keep an eye on some deserving posts when my source gets refilled and I can see really good posts abandoned for no damn reason. Now we have 5 sources on the board what's the excuse?

Every now and then Nigerians complain about the government of the country and how bias they are but the fact is the average Nigerian is worse than they are the only difference is the opportunity to exercise that power..... I hope one day you guys allow the board to actually grow and stop farming accounts..

First, I will start by saying that many people (both source merit and non source) on the forum is biased in terms of awarding merits, not on this local board but generally.

Since I joined the forum and got to know about the merit system, I have observed that many (source and non source) people are sentimental, biased and political in terms of awarding merits.  I had a long list of unworthy post that got packs of merits, ranging from general boards to local board and my purpose of gradually making up that list was to create a thread to show how biased a lot of members (that you would say they are reputable) on the forum distribute merit to post that doesn't really give any help to anyone. What happened was that i don't know how the kids (my aunts kids us my phone to play games) around me uninstalled my note book app where I was dropping the links of those post and it disrupted my plan of raising that thread. 

The weird thing that motivated me to want to raise that topic on the general board was after I saw a thread where a member ask a question, stating, "who knows what tomorrow would be? " Someone dropped a comment and said "tomorrow would be [mention any days of the week] and he got merited. But that's in the past now since I can not find all of those thread and post again to still create the thread.

If I remember correctly, some thread with the kind of idea regarding how biased merit distribution is done has been raised before on the meta board, I just can not find the thread again, but if you are good in searching through the forum, you will find it. So, here you are making same observation on our local board and trying to encourage the merit distribution to be more faire instead of biased.

 In the early time while I was very active on the board, I have awarded merit to post that I find helpful or to members that had quality in their post but are low rank and deserve to grow too and I have received merit on some of thepost I made here which I believe anyone that merited the post found it helpful too (now, I don't have so much smerit to share here and I don't actively read here as before).

On this board, as on the general board too, there will always be sentiment in sending merits because some of people here on the forum not just this local board, have a close or long distance relationship and they know each others one on one, so they can decide to send merit to their friend due to familiarity or friendship sake, don't get it wrong, cuz I know you might want to say or ask if you should also/only send your merit to your friends or gang.

The question is, if i know Mr. "A" One on one and I don't know Mr. "B" Physically, but this two people make quality post but because 'A' is my friend, I usually look out for any of his quality & helpful post and I give merit to it, do you think it's bad to give merit to his post if those post are really quality and worth the merit? (Note that am not a merit source).

You made mention of our local board having about 5 merit source, I know that brainboss have been the only merit source on this board and you know that it's not every quality post he can see to merit, owning to the fact that he might have a life outside this forum too, he could miss to read some pages, yeah. To call a spade a spade, one merit source can not see everything. I don't know if before now there were more than 1 merit source apart from brainboss but even while he was just the only source merit in the Nigeria board, he tried to distribute his smerit fairly, I have tracked his merit history many times.

 I think Igebots is also a merit source and I think I have come across a thread he created for people that are close to their next rank to apply their and he will give them the complete merit to rank up, maybe that's how he choose to distribute his merit and few times I still see some thread he merit too.

About the rest of the 4 merit source, I don't know how long they started to be a source but I know that there were few members of the Nigerian board, including you that were just approved by forum admin recently (just last month) as a source merit, and I guess that the allocation they gave to you guys is not enough to reach all the quality post on the local board, since some of you are too generous to award 5, 10, or 15 merit at once, so I guess the Smerits was exhausted too quickly without reaching every good post.

And, some of this merit source might be a member of this local board but were not made merit source of the Nigeria local board. Why did I say so...? I remember I read your comment somewhere and you said that you were not made a source of this Local board and so you can choose to share your Smerit to any board. How about others, are they really source of this board too?

If really they are, and you too, you guys can talk to each other via DM and agree on how to work things out to make the board move forward in terms of the merit distribution and other things that can benefit the house. I already saw some threads and comments that you gave meirted on this board, keep up the work and don't think you are not noticed by anyone who is observing by didn't say it.

If this other merit source who were approved last month have already spent their allocations for last month, today is a fresh month (July) and there will be allocations, so hopefully those posts you are talking about will be merited (just saying tho).

If I'm to defend the merit sources, maybe they are lazy or have other activities that has stopped them from reading all the threads and find those quality post to merit. Another thing is that, every merit source are different individuals and they have different sense of reasoning. Merit source 'X' might see a post and condemn the quality or assume that the post is not helpful to anyone but another merit source 'z' could end up meriting the post because he found it quality based on his own criteria of rating good post.

When I joined the forum new, there was a merit source who normally asked members to send him a PM of the boards that they normally make comments on, I didn't benefit from that source merit but many people did. They will send him pm and he will review their post on those boads and send merit to them, but I think he stop due to the high level of farmed account as they claimed. The point am trying to make here is that, there are methods in which source can use to award merit to quality post on this board.

The merit system being biased is not just a local board problem, farm accounts is not just a local board problem, but I would still like to discourage our people here towards doing such and let the right thing be done. Merit should not only be given based sentiment.

People plenty here way Snr you both for this forum and for normal age. It doesn't make sense you wake up every now and then to insult the very local board members that gave you all the support you needed to grow at different points in the forum.

Firstly don't talk about age because you would only be speculating secondly the local board did not support me in my growth on this forum and it's very obvious. You should not paint the story. You have a tag right? Did you farm an account? Then why can't the LB help ? Because there is no unity just some benefiting and others put aside.

I am not just speculating, this isn't the first time you have been throwing tantrums instead of modestly making your points out which would have been well embraced than what we're getting here. A matured mind doesn't throw tantrums like you do. Maybe you could be older in age but not in mind.

Frankly speaking I don't even know what to title this post that's why I had this as a title. Firstly I'm saying this even if I know it won't change a thing on the board but I believe it's worth saying. This board is damn too biased in merit sending and receiving. It obvious and anyone coming here to defend it is obviously part of it.  I've been out of smerits for a while now and I've been surfing around just to keep an eye on some deserving posts when my source gets refilled and I can see really good posts abandoned for no damn reason. Now we have 5 sources on the board what's the excuse?

Every now and then Nigerians complain about the government of the country and how bias they are but the fact is the average Nigerian is worse than they are the only difference is the opportunity to exercise that power..... I hope one day you guys allow the board to actually grow and stop farming accounts..
