It's possible for regular people to win such an amount but it's something that rarely happens because the chances are very low but like you said, most of time these wins are usually from people that are influencers or ambassadors for the bet sites that the win is gotten from..it's usually a strategy to get people's attention alot of people would get hooked when they see that a bettor won such an amount

Well it’s not like I’m trying to say that there ain’t people who wins this kind of amount, but whenever I see stuffs like this posted online, I often see it as an attempt to get people to feel more motivated to gamble more. Celebrity or not, 1 million naira is quite a lot of money for someone to risk on a game with such a crazy odd. But what can I say? Some people can be crazy when it comes to making gambling decisions.

This is a lie and just for advertisement. But i an thinking if someone want to advertise a sports etting its not the way they do.
yeah they won on that, a huge one! but i can just do the same bet at different casino with sports betting.

I don't know if it's real or fake, but if it's a lie as you say, it would be a huge risk for the casino, since its reputation could be affected. If a lie is discovered, it would be false advertising. I think they're real, but it seems uncertain because that reality represents less than 1% of players in general; that's what makes it feel unreal. It's the perception we have of something being difficult to obtain, but then someone else presents it as if it were easy.

Majorities of the replies point us that it likely not real since the announcement was made on media with aimbof getting more customers to the said gambling site and also spending some money in the process, i appreciate every comment and opinion on this topic and to avoid spam i will likely lock this thread now and we move on regardless.
