Yes, he dominated the whole time. JDM probably only dominated for 45 seconds or like that. It was basically 99% time domination from Islam Makhachev. While that is great, I have to be frank and say that it was a boring fight, at least for me. Sorry but the first round was hugging, the second round was hugging, sixty nine, then hugging again. The third round was 5 seconds of good box and then hugging, forth round was also hugging and fifth round was hugging again. I know it's MMA but c'mon dudes, give us some action.

By the way, I thought from the first round that Islam would submit JDM but he couldn't. I didn't expect such a resistance from JDM but he really looked hopeless, especially in last seconds when he lost all the hope to escape from that position on the ground.

I admit that the fight was quite boring with a style like wrestling sports in several rounds, which also made JDM struggle with Makhachev's takedowns and hugging. It's not just Makhachev, almost all fighters from Dagestan have a similar style, like Khabib. Grappling is often more boring than stand-up fighting.

Well, it seems like the Dagestani don't even care about it since it's their way of fighting on the Octagon, and it's up to their opponents on how they will counter it, but looking at it, it's very hard to counter TBH, and it's pretty obvious just by looking at their records. Now I wonder who will be the next opponent of Makhachev now in Welterweight. I'm also thinking on how this fighting style of these Dagestani fighters will be countered. :|

Topuria a nobody?  Lol come on now...  He was on his way to get his title shot against Makhachev before the latter dropped his belt and moved up to 170.  He KO'd Volk and Holloway in a way that was never seen before.  

Yeap, he was a nobody in lightweight, but a guy who has knocked out tops of featherweight. For me, if the guy goes to next division, his achievements should be reseted at least to top15 and he should start from the start, joining title race. I have been following such rule since school. I have been in many situations, when at school, in canteen kids are standing in line to get their food, then comes kids who are older, from higher class and get in the middle or start of line. I was the one who sent those food bullies to the back

I was optimistic that Islam Makhachev would win. And that's what happened. I liked the moment where Khabib himself puts the belt in his . Even though Khabib is a fighter on another level, Islam is walking the same path as Khabib. It seems that Islam Makhachev is beating a lot of good fighters. He is dominating the same for Khabib's team.

There is a guy in early prelims - Susurkaev. Third fight in ufc and all finishes. Chimaev hype for that guy, he has told Dana to try him in contenders series. Possibly a new hype guy or a guy who will be in top once. Watch this guy.

Bo Nickal has knocked out Vieira. Hope Bo learned his lesson and started training striking. Previously he has lost to de Ridder due to being bad in striking.

It took only 16seconds for BSD to knockout Darioush. Wow. I think ufc will soon release Darioush or he will retire himself. 3 losses, all by knockout. “Health is wealth”

If Ilia tries to come into his weight class, I think it would be suicide. Before this match, I thought Illia could be more dangerous, but Islam has gained incredible form...

Had only watched up until the first card on the main event then that was it, I was clocked out for the rest of this PPV by the time these fights began.
Expected both the co and main events to be boring wrestling matches from their past fights.
The shocker of this event for me was the fight of Ewing who was called 2 days before to take on Malcolm Wellmaker and beat him on his debut fight. Think he was had over 4x odds to win this fight on such short notice.

Islam Makhachev was already the favorite in this match. Jack Della Maddalena was said to be a good striker and could land good shots on Islam. Fearing Islam's dives, he couldn't adjust his distance and couldn't land effective shots throughout the match. His defense was decent, but he couldn't find a solution. Islam now holds two belts. From now on, Islam's next goal will be to solidify his legacy as a double champion and defend his belts.

Just checked who I had for the main card and had Shevchenko, Morales and Prates all to win in my betslip.
If I did not put Wellmaker it would of made for a good night for bets.
Never would of thought Dariush to be knocked out so quickly like that by Benoit St.Denis in 16 seconds.
