Referee body cams has been returned. That a huge plus. Finally we will be able to see a little bit more. POV knockouts is something rare we see. I dont know why it took UFC so much time to put a cam on a ref. Pride had it years ago. Why do you think they add such feature? To bring viewers something new? Or POV is required to make a right decision?

I believe it is for both: both for the viewer to have new perspectives from inside the octagon and to help the judges make more detailed decisions or choices. And I have no doubt that soon these cameras will also be charged as part of the subscription as soon as possible.

You mean user had to pay additional to already paid 79,99 bucks to get extra from body cam? I hope UFC are not that greedy. Watching something from body cam should not be priced, as that material isnt aired live parallel. Video from body cam can be used for finishers highlight, or check if "grounded" rule isnt violated, possibly give point penalty for accident and intentional eye poke. Imho it should be used for help, instead of to make money.

But seriously, how come someone be 78kg at competition day, which means much heavy during off-season, then go down and compete in 61kg. From the way she looks, its not what 61kg look like with the height shes got. Less than 2 years ago she competed in PFL in women lightweight, which is 70kg. I think there is so much lie with her real weight. Pena vs Harrison fight on Russian MMA forum is called housewife vs genetic mutant fight, and expect it not to last longer than 2 rounds.

There was some fresh drama recently, when desperate Tom Aspinall, in an interview with Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen, announced Jon Jones' retirement, wished him all the best in life, and said it's time to move on:

It's good to have at least an expected date, but that's a bit late in my opinion. If I remember correctly, the initial plan was to schedule it for this summer, but given we're already in June, it's fair to say this won't happen.

And earlier today, there was a 'leak' (or just a made-up story made just for the views?) on what Jon Jones was offered for the fight. The article says he was offered $12 million, which is more than Brock Lesnar, GSP, or Ronda Rousey got for their highest-paid fights.

Yeah dunno.  Lol.  I think Harrison will win but I wouldn't bet on it at 1.13.  Just too chalky for a women's MMA fight.  Sometimes all kinds of weird sht happens like Pena vs Nunes 1. 

But yeah, both co main and the main event should be easy wins for the favorites.  Pyfer should be an easy win vs Gastelum too.  I bet a parlay with Pyfer and Dvalishvili yesterday at 1.70, Spivac also around 1.70 and an underdog pick with Bruno Silva.  Thinking of betting Mario Bautista too as another underdog pick...  But we'll see.

That's why this isn't going to happen. So many times they have tried to arrange this fight to happen, they got older already and Jones knows he isn't the way he used to. The guy won't give up his zero loss. He even tried erasing the disqualification loss. Will that $12M be enough for to risk his GOAT title?

Even if Tom rest for another year, he is still younger than Jones, the age makes the difference.

If things continue like this, they will never really fight. I looked at the latest news and it's all about rumors. Nothing official, either from the fighters or from the UFC itself. I may be out of date, but I personally have given up on watching this fight. It's quite possible that Jones will retire without fighting.

I wouldn't worry about him losing skills. He has been posting a lot of training footage on his youtube channel with different kinds of sparring partners, so it's almost like he's in one, permanent training camp.
On the other hand, if I understand the situation correctly, Jon is taking it easy, he was posting some "holiday" type of content, and there was no indication of him training, which might have let Tom to believe he actually doesn't want to fight at all or wants to drag the negotiations forever deliberatly.

Tom is in a tough spot, even if he's active, it's not the same as having official fights when there's a title on the line. I think he played it well by refusing to repeat Chandler's mistake. He's in his prime years, so sitting idle for a year (or more) is a crime to the sport.
But it's ultimately the UFC's decision.

Merab in last 5 fights: defeated undefeated Nurmagomedov, beat previous champion O'Malley, former champ Yan, former double champ Cejudo, former champ Aldo. Topuria has got only 2 champions skulls on his wall.

I dont see any chance of him winning that fight, unless they fight as seniors in 20 or 30 years in future

Ask Dana White and his bosses, they made many strange decisions with ranking of their fighters, and this is not the first time.
Fair ranking for MMA fighters should be done by someone who is neutral and not affiliated with UFC or other MMA organizations.

I don't think Tom or his team expected things to drag on for so long, maybe they thought the UFC would play hardball and give Jon a deadline to make up his mind and strip him of his belt if they don't reach an agreement.
Jon is acting like he's doing everyone a favour for even considering that fight, but that's his last chance of earning big money and securing himself and his family financially for the rest of his life.

Tom is vocal about fighting someone else if needed, if the UFC puts the real belt on the line. So it's not like he's dodging Gane or anyone else.
And there's no way they could sign a contract for a fight that could happen anytime in the next 2 years (whenever Jon feels like it). They all need a concrete date, location, sufficient time to prepare and hype up the event, and they need to agree on the money.

Yup.  It's just the way it is.  It's prize fighting after all.    Anybody that says otherwise is just plain dumb.  And at the end of the day, if Aspinall beats Jon Jones then he deserves a huge pay day in his next match.  He earned it.

As for the main event - I think Merab is rightfully the clear favourite, although I have a feeling Sean could do much better than he did last time. He's not the kind of fighter who would just show up without a good plan, especially when he got the beating last time and now he knows what to expect.

Did you guys watch the fight? Wish I was living in the USA, I'd watch every fight in person but it's too expensive for me to fly from EU and the rent apartment, tickets are crazy expensive too. Anyways, I only watched the main event and oh my, Merab is on another level. He did not just beat Sean O'Malley but he submitted him. How many submissions does Merab have? If I remember well, he has only one submission and after so many fights and so many years, he submitted Sean O'Malley, who is a really very good, very tall and dangerous fighter. Merab is simply on another level, no one has any chance against him. This division belongs to Merab and Merab only, until he retires, there is simply no one capable to win against Merab. The guy is 34 years old but improves every time, his every next performance is another level improvement, I don't understand where is this guy's pinnacle.

Congrats everyone who placed a bet on Merab's win like me and won the money.
