And make it Script-Jane.
Is there GPU miner for it? It is. I prefer it because it stresses the gpu less. Less heat, less noise, less power draw.

I think you should just do it without his consent.. That's what Colbert would do!
Thank you for your feedback, but no, he would not do that. The entire point here is to make this a collaborative project with The Colbert Show. Asking permission is a sign of weakness. This is not a military operation, this has nothing to do with showing strength or weakness.

Instead of charities, coins will be donated to NRA, Heritage Foundation and Creationist Museum.
Sounds interesting.

How is this going? Do you need help in getting in touch with the producers?

Check out RonPaulCoin, they launched without his approval, just didn't use his face or claim any link to him until after approval. Keep the ties to Steven Colbert to a minimum and wait til he here's about it and makes a joke about filling his lifelong dream of being the face on a dollar bill and then your golden.

It may have been better to actually have specifically done this one without approval, it would have been more comedy opportunity.

"ColbertCoin" can be generic. You don't have to come right out and say you this is a coin backed by stephen Colbert. Keep it generic, say you love all things 'colbert' such as the actress, the french politician, Stephen Colbert, and even Colbert butter. put a stick of butter on the coin until Colbert comes out and supports it. This covers your ass, you just made a coin referencing butter.
Its far easier to get support from a celebrity when its a multi million dollar coin, and not just an unproven idea. Stephen Colbert is not going to give the go ahead and endorsement of a random guy on the internet; he'd launch a coin himself before doing that. Giving you an endorsement is a liability until the coin is already succssful.
I say start with this: Noun 1. Colbert - butter creamed with parsley and tarragon and beef extract
And once the coin is launched, and showing some success make a donation to Colbert Super Pac or one of his nonprofits, requesting his support. And once you get approval, switch it over to his face.

Ok I'll say it, can someone else just pick this up and launch it? There's no updates being given, and I think Colbert would be ok with the community just making a coin in his name. Ron Paul didn't care about his coin, they're not all douchebags like Kanye.

I think its a good idea. Especially given Colberts fued with kanye west. It might not be that hard to get him to endorse it. proving once again that he is in fact, the voice of this generation of this decade.
I must say though, I think the name should be Americoin.
