Hi. I'm searching for a guide for this topic, i can't find the right link.
Could someone link me to the correct guide?

MORE DETAILS:
I saved my wallet.dat in an external key,
i formatted my pc.

Now what am i supposed to do?
apt-get install the bitcoin client,
then?
creating the .bitcoin dir and putting inside the wallet.dat
before starting the client for the first time?

Also i have another pc with another wallet.
Can i copy the other files to avoid the all chain download?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, putting the wallet.dat in the ~/.bitcoin directory will allow you to keep your coins, and putting blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat in the same directory will avoid having to download the blockchain again.

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+restore+wallet+from+backup+bitcoin

Also the very own forum search can be quite useful, when people do use it!
The same goes for the bitcoin wiki...
