Hello, all.

I am having a problem with my blockchain.info app.  It all started when I had to flash my T-Mobile S3, because it got stuck in a reboot loop.  I got locked out of my blockchain account, because I lost my Google two-factor authenticator during the ROM-flash process.  I applied for a reset of the two-factor authentication on blockchain.info through the support channel.  After waiting several weeks and asking several times for the reset, I uploaded a backup of my wallet to blockchain.info and got back into my wallet, having not heard back from blockchain support at all.  Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the blockchain.info app on my newly flashed S3.  I logged into my account on my S3 and my PC, and proceeded to pair my device to my blockchain.info account.  That worked.

Then I set my PIN and logged in.

Then I see my account summary.  Instead of a positive ballance (which I see in the web version), I see 0.00 BTC.  After a few seconds, I receive this error:

An error occurred connecting to blockchain.info.  The website may be offline or experiencing technical difficulties.
Would you like teo fallback to the P2P network?  A significant delay will be incurred synchronizing with the bitcoin network.

I've been trying this for several days, and I seem to always get the same result.  I'm using the Android app (v3.58, latest as of 2013-08-26).

  • Are others experiencing this problem?
  • Any ETA on a fix?
  • Ideas on what is causing this?
  • Suggestions on things I could try?
  • What should I do in the mean time before this gets fixed?

The app is working just fine for me right now. Maybe it was just a downtime.

Still getting the issue as of 2013-08-26T1840Z.

Could it be my account or something?

(I've been having this for several days now--continuously.)

Still getting this issue on a brand new blockchain account via 4G as well as WiFi.

Anyone else having these issues?  Could it be my device?

I'm having a similar problem, but this is my first time using this app.

I have created a wallet on my pc, I scan the code on my phone, set the PIN and the BTC amount says 0.0 and after 10 seconds I get the same error as OP.

It's a Nexus 4. I have tried for over a week on both 3G & Wifi. I have tried countless times to clear data & completely uninstall the app.
When I create a completely new account from my device it seems to work fine though.

I can't help the OP because it was completely out of this time frame, but at the time of your post I was Gerto, I was unable to log in to blockchain.info and was having trouble getting the wallet to work on my phone, too. It's now working, though. Perhaps your issues are related to this, rather than the error that the OP was experiencing... so it might be worth trying again to see if that's the case.
