I am sure that a lot of people would be willing to lend him 2 BTC with 15% interest for 24 hours if he actually had collateral. That would be an almost risk free .3 BTC for the lender.

IMO he is trying to entice a lender to make a "low risk" loan with "high returns" the only issue is that this is not really a low risk loan
