at the day I saw this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2574693 I felt that the closing is coming for Betcoin poker
I was and still hoping that bitcoin poker will be as big as fiat poker , but the sites are keep closing
many hate Betcoin but for me it's has always been my special site , cause I started my whole crypto gambling there and it was really great two years ago
hopefully this will be an incentive for some sites to start offering poker since now there are no much options to choose

Yeah it's a real shame that their UI is pretty shit, they said a while ago that they updated or were about to update it but I'm not sure I noticed too to much of a difference haha.

Back to playing with FIAT again I guess.. For now.

It seems that bitcoin poker is not profitable anymore, too many sites close their poker game in the last few years. But it is a good opportunity to the existing site such as swcpoker and nitrogen. Betcoin poker player may move to one of the existing site. Regarding the 40btc badbeat jackpot, lets wait for the official announcement.
Unless there is a lack of advertising, I am not sure how the site could not be profitable.  I understand security and site upkeep, but I am sure they take in enough on the rakes for these games to make a nice penny.

I wasn’t aware that five dimes had installed a bitcoin poker room. It seems like that’s one of the sites are used to try to sports bet on. Do you have any idea if they are now excepting US customers? As far as bit. Poker goes we are running out of optionsWhen it comes To just basic poker rooms.

If this really happens then many of them are going to move from betcoin to other poker games which offer a better thing like some more rooms or may be more tourneys pn their site but after these past years and they suddenly closed it for good? Or are you just promote your refs here? Because I believe there is rules where you can't promote any affiliates link here and more over you got this red trust

Betcoin poker is closing poker for good after the 25th of december. But what will they do with the 40 btc in the bad beat jackpot players have put in? If they keep that is it scamming ? THoughts what you think they should do ?

I stopped playing poker there for a while, because of all the problems they were having. I still somewhat surprised for this decision, since they were actually the btc poker room with more players (at least they were by the time I stopped playing there). As for the bad beat jackpot I think they should return it to players, or at least create some freeroll tournaments for those who were active and contributed to the jackpot with those coins. If they keep it to themselves, that will turn out as another scam accusation for them.

Let's all face it, poker is not something casinos profit from. This is the reason why there aren't much good poker sites to play on. Also this is one of the games that is skill based, well not purely but a huge deal of skill is needed to be successful. This means that it has a really big learning curve for newbies that will cause them to quit before they reach the point they make a profit.

I don't agree, they take money from rake and from poker casino is just earning because they don't invest from their own money they collect it from players who takes each others money and pays rake. Only problem is to attract enough players, with many players poker site can work and have profit from that.
Sad to hear that bitcoin.ag is closing their poker room, I saw their announcement and that is final decision. Looks like nitrogen can become most popular bitcoin poker place now.

Probably on some way they will build another gaming site like gambling related and for that, the jackpot that never win of the player on their site will invest on that new project for more BTC what a wonderful world. Smiley
