Betcoin poker is closing poker for good after the 25th of december. But what will they do with the 40 btc in the bad beat jackpot players have put in? If they keep that is it scamming ? THoughts what you think they should do ?

I for one would like to see them stay. They've always been good, is there anything we can do to make them change their mind? Willing to pay a fee on cashouts, whatever management wants.

Wow this is a shame, it's crazy how many bitcoin poker rooms have come and gone since 2013.
How can nitrogen be the last one standing and last time I checked they had more volume then ever. I must say I do like their challenges for cash games which can get you into freerolls with .....ok prize pools I guess.
You can get into a freeroll with 100 mbtc guaranteed with around 80 people...not bad but still a grind.
I thought betcoin would make it but i guess just because a room focuses on bitcoin doesn't merit volume and player loyalty.

I don't think it is scam, these jackpots are a strategy for rooms to attract more clients, anyways there is a very thin line. I dont' think they are releasing that money

Betcoin closing their poker room before the end of the year and being on Christmas?  Has there been an official announcement by them on this closure. I hope they have put out an email notifying all their customers this way as a means of them knowing to withdraw all funds in their wallets if that is all they use the site for.  |

That's a real shame as I have some fond memories from playing over at betcoin. It is a bit worrying though as you say what they'll do with the bad beat jackpot money.. I know some of my money has gone in to that so it'd suck if they just took it. Although I'm not sure what the rules or laws for that matter are that could force them to give it out to players. Will be following to see where it ends up though. |

https://nitrogensports.eu/r/140515 is way better then swc with cash btc games and they have a awesome reward system when u play cash games to get into great gtd tourneys with small fields. How long and how often have you played at nitrogensports? I remember trying out their poker about 6 months ago and there was barely any action and I felt the UI was pretty bad. Have they upgraded their systems? Is there a lot of action there now? I'd love to find a good replacement for betcoin but I doubt there will be anyone for now.. |

If they are announcing and then closing down then I don't see the point of running away with those Bitcoins. The date is yet to come and have faith, everyone who has put in the money can be refunded. No big deal |

No big deal I'd really hope they will do something like that but I can imagine it will be an administrative nightmare for them to figure out. What about players not currently active? What about players that lost their account? 40 BTC = $756,000, in other words a hell of a lot money. Let's see what happens in the coming days/weeks.. |

WTF. I just found the time to start to learn about Bitcoin and what I can do with it, and now the main gambling save I signed up for made a deposit at is closing down for poker. I seen one other recommendation for another poker site, however does anybody have any other ones? I don't like playing against computers, or other play against other people at tables.

It seems that bitcoin poker is not profitable anymore, too many sites close their poker game in the last few years. But it is a good opportunity to the existing site such as swcpoker and nitrogen. Betcoin poker player may move to one of the existing site. Regarding the 40btc badbeat jackpot, lets wait for the official announcement.

This is sad to see when eventually it had to happen. I love that coin is tied in with the WPN network but tournaments that reposted on betcoin Got old very fast. Seem like the tournaments late registration ran so long that to make it past that point had a little less to do with skill and more to do with how many buy ins you purchased. I’m all for late registration along poker tournament I don’t always want to sit down and play an 8 hour tournament.
