As I'm sure you already know, fellow crypto-enthusiast, BitcoinDark recently started paying weekly dividends to stakers  Shocked Shocked Shocked

As far as I know, it's the first 'gen1' coin to add revenue-generating services that effectively make BTCD into an asset as well as a currency.

Now that they have proven this is possible and are actually paying out, what could be the result?

Current dividends are the profits from their arbitrage fund, MM-BTCD.

They've already guaranteed regular dividends as percentages of upcoming services:

5% of ALL future InstantDEX profits
5% of ALL SuperNET profits
Possibly 5% of crypto777 profits
10% of bitcoindarkdice.net

No wonder the price jumped so much this week!

Probably, dividends in BitcoinDark.

can you elaborate? they pay dividents out of what? in what currency?

What i am interested for: Do you know if BTCD also distributes dividends for mgwBTCD assets over NXT Asset Exchange?

1. The services are generating revenue, purchasing BTCD, and sending it out weekly amongst addresses which have staked. The more you stake, the higher your percentage of the total dividend.

2. No. MM-BTCD is paying dividends in mgwBTCD, but all these services which pay BitcoinDark divs will pay out in pure BTCD.

It's pretty neat.  Grin
