Lower it

Is there a reason to do this? I run mine pretty hot on silent PC fans.

As some of you no on miner config thare is a true or false box for cut off at 80c this is to high for me dose any 1 no how to change this

why is that to high ? just wondering ?.

are you under clocking it or over clocking ? overclocked my S3 only hits may be oc to 231 40 c tops i have maxed oc it and never even came close to 80 c it may have hit if that 48 c maxed oc on a hot day with temps outside at 102 degrees or so. .. i never hear the fans i could sleep in the same room if  I wanted to with it running, my basement window fans are louder and they are silent fans.
not really sure what your asking is yours hitting those temps ?. if so there might be some thing wrong with that S3 .

I Burt out a chip over clocking it above 250 with kano S3 update.I was lucky I guess it was only one chip and still works like a beast with one bad chip i even tried to replace the board once and got screwed with the replacement board, but didn't he would have replaced it i had to be a jerk to even get him to offer to replace it which i never got it replaced.  to much trouble to me.

sadly thu S3 are about to become very useless you can all most pick them up on Ebay at s1 prices or what S1 prices used to be.

to me the S3 was the best built miner bitmain ever built including the c1 sense it is a s3 water cooled and oc with the s5 controller system which i plugged a s5 bb into a c1 control board it worked just had to image it to a c1 and that c1 is still using that s5 bb Smiley.

it can be I was trying to remember the exact lines i used to know i used to do it in s1's .it will Polly only change in the file not the gui unless you can find what file has that setting. but if it works or not can't say . s1 it did but with the s3 it was different .

maybe take a look at the s5 july firm ware see were they put those setting and go from there if you have a s5 ?.

maybe some one that used to do it can remember.
