What would happen to Bitcoin without Alternative coins ?

If alternative coins will not be in the market, for BTC it would be better  Without doubt BTC is main cryptocurrency

Sorry all of you are wrong. Altcoins have only helped bitcoin.

1. Innovation. You think things like ring signatures, colored coins, assets, atomic transfers, merge minning, coin mixing, anonymousnes, etc would have ever happened? We were straight up lied to about the anonymousness of bitcoin, and the devs refuse to allow innovation.

2. Because of altcoins we have an army of developers.

3. Use case scenerios can get played out. Ie: ixcoin, bitcoin copy with all coins minted, geistgeld, bitcoin copy with fast blocks.



Saying there can Only be 1 coin is like my dogs saying there can be only one stick. Dont be like my dogs, there are enough sticks to play with for everyone.
