I really see a lot of people saying that Bitcoin actual price is because of the exchange of Alternative coins , is that right ? what are exactly the factors and what would happen if alternative coins dissapears

The shitcoin scammers probably mostly run off with fiat, but mostly probably go through bitcoin to get to fiat, so end up dumping bitcoin, probably without caring much about the price as if the price goes low they just spew out more shitcoins. So net effect of the scamcoins may be more dumping of bitcoin than would happen without all this constant shitcoin scam ecology.

To some extent, Bitcoin's price is effected by altcoins'. If altcoins disappear, Bitcoin's price would be higher. More money will stay at bitcoin! No shitcoins, no dump and pump, it will be good for the image of bitcoin!

Less competition = more profit. That's how everything works in business and as for bitcoin, no alts = more bitcoin for us. Bitcoin would have more investors and price would still stay up the clouds. I wouldn't mind these altcoins around as I don't invest in most of them except LTC.

Without altcoins, Bitcoin would go on just like it is. Altcoins are nothing but a slight distraction for Bitcoin, and sometimes they can be a testing ground for new features (if Bitcoin should decide to implement them). There is some capital that is diverted to altcoins instead of Bitcoin, so without Alts, bitcoin might be priced a little higher.

So I guess our lives would be better without those Alternative coins , people should stop using them or more like creating them , now each time I wake up , I find new thread about new altcoin created , it's kinda abused to be honest . :/ But most of them create them to make quick profit then... so yeah

There is no monopoly in any trade, so is it in virtual currency. When there is no other alternative coins, maybe it is because that bitcoin disappears.

Strong rhetorical question when it is arguably the present reality. How many alternates exist outside of Bitcointalk and the exchanges? Answer: Zero. That was highly exaggerated but it was a close approximation.
Only thing people know is Bitcoin, not many people are using it and most write off right away as something used to buy drugs or to order hits.

You missed the other side: how much fiat has been brought in to the crypto-economy (such as it is) by people who bought Bitcoin solely to buy their favourite altcoin(s)? Overall, it might well be a wash.

Oh yeah, nice thought.
Maybe not a wash though as buying or dumping either way they have to hear about the industry so overall maybe publicity is generally a good thing.

It's kind of like saying what would happen to Japanese Yen, if there was no US Dollar.
People keep talking as if "altcoins" are something other or less than a bitcoin, when in fact they are also coins.
How could anyone expect anything different with opensource based projects?

what happend when only bitcoin was aviable? the same what happend in the past, altcoins would be invented!
Competition is good. With a monopoly people in power tend to get like hitler ;-) .
In the Fiat system there are also a lot of "alt coins" to the Us-Dollar. Even in the electronic fiat transfer systems there are serveral systems and Subsystems:
CreditCards: Visa, mastercard, American Express and so on Paypal,Western union,Okpay,Skrill,Sepa,EC-Cards,Paysafe,
You could make a list of them with market cap and volume too if you get the data ;-)
So altcoin bashing is denying the reality.

The Paycoin IPO must have generated a fortune in Bitcoins for the dev, and those Bitcoins getting dumped were probably one of the reasons Bitcoin's price crashed on completion of the IPO. Alt coins with massive volume can seriously affect Bitcoin if there is a massive dump of them.

There was also massive dumping by Ethereum and I wouldn't call BTC dropping in value to be coincidental, dumping like a potato definitely caused those market panics which shot Bitcoin down.
Bitcoiners right now are excited we are back at $255 but you have to remember that it could had been $650 or $700 if Vitalik Buterin wasn't dumping for crack rocks.

I really see a lot of people saying that Bitcoin actual price is because of the exchange of Alternative coins , is that right ? what are exactly the factors and what would happen if alternative coins dissapears bitcoin price has nothing to do with altcoins! all the altcoins that have been created so far are just a way to make more bitcoin that is it. you pump/ride the pump and gain a lot of profit and that will increase your bitcoin wealth.

Technically if all altcoins disappear that will help bitcoin in big way since everyone will be investing in it...there is a reason why bitcoin lovers talk chit about altcoins because they think altcoin is taking all the money from bitcoin

Not quite. If altcoins disappear, all the people who buy altcoins with fiat via buying Bitcoin will disappear too. And if there's something fishy about the way the altcoins disappear, the altcoineers will disappear quite loudly and angrily. "How do I know that a good deal was cut? Simple: Both sides keep complaining that the other fellas took advantage of them."

If there's no alt coins, you must have to buy bitcoin only with fiat. Some exchanges have to shut down . And finally i can't trade bitcoins for some other alt coins which is mined with my PC ~Rude Boy
