Hi my 2 factor authentication was not working properly and the verfiication emails would come through 10 hours late.

I requested reset and waited 20 days. today has come and the reset has happened. I go to my wallet and it says an email has been sent to my adress

I dont see any emails

not sure what else to do now, any ideas?

Which mail service are you using because it takes some time to be delivered
Have you checked the Spam/Junk folder?
Most of the services that send lots of email there is a chance that the email can be delivered in spam folder.

Hi thanks for the quick reply! I am using safemail which I respect can be slow, I have also checked the junk folders and nothings there

I recieved an email saying "2 factor authentication has been disabled" but this is not what i requested..
im a bit worried about this, as I didnt want it to be disabled, I just wanted a reset and to continue using as before....

cheers

thats where I am atm anyways, requested a reset of 2 factor, recieved a "2 factor has been diasbled" email and poor communication

and now when i go to log in its asking me to check my mail for 2 factor, though its been disabled

this just seems illogical to me and im pretty confused how something so basic can become such a nightmare

cheers

What is your meaning of a "reset"? Email authentication is either enabled or disabled, there is no "reset". I think it is safemail who is holding up your email.

Now that it is disabled, why don't you change the registered email address? I know gmail works well, authentication email arrives very quickly.

If im not using the correct terms or use of the terms i apologise
in my mind i compared it to any other situation you would find reset and disable.
if your playstation froze you might just reset it
you wouldnt disable it and turn it off altogether and stop playing
thats the point i was making but it seems my defintion was off

on the blockchain webiste they clearly state "reset" which to me means somethings stopped working, so reset it back to normal functionality
i recieved the email saying 2 factor is disabled, which has thrown me

I cant actually log in to the wallet, I went to blockchain.onion and entered my identifer and password but its saying I have been sent an authorization email.....its like a loop that im stuck in and am just confused about it

I will switch to gmail, I set up all these things 6 months ago and have learnt since then

Since i saw that blockchain wallet has been removed from official bitcoin website day by day it becomes less popular and buggy.
Have you tired to contact their support here https://blockchain.zendesk.com/home
Or at least contacting the staff of blockchain which can be found here: https://blockchain.com/about/

I wish people would just stop using online wallets altogether. At least Bitcoin wallets are not that complicated and there is a variety of wallets for each and every need.

Get your funds out of the online wallets guys!

I have already not used blockchain wallet Roll Eyes
and i have been told to everyone here to stop use blockchain wallet, and don't store all amount to web wallet, it just for daily need, not recommend to store for long term.

Nevwr had any problem with the 2fA. Must have been  a problem with your email provider. Anyway, I don't recommend using blockchain anymore, as someonw already said, time and time blockchains service are getting ruaty. With all the updates and additions they are just downgrading their platform. I don't use it anymore well mainly because I can't get a way to get my old wallet back because the app requirea to scan a qr on a web. I don't have a pc and I don't have another phone so yea I can't accessbit in my amartphone unless I go to my browser which is I don't do much because I don't like opening my wallets on any web browser.
