Scam attempt and Imposters on Telegram

You know that scammers owns telegram, and you would use an indirect means to find out the user name of the person in the forum that chat your clients, secondly you need to keep your telegram username hidden so that scammers will not claim that they're you and deceive your clients, you need to protect your image before scammers in forum ruin your business with your clients

Let me say it openly, many people who is in this forum are scammers, because what op explained here, it's people who is part of the forum that's messaging  different clients in order to defraud them.

Later, a guy reached me on Telegram saying a casino I am working for is a scam, and they suspect I own the casino. According to them, "There is no reason why I would work for them if I do not own the casino." Refused to tell me who they are. So, let's say that was a coward.

As I mentioned in the OP, I've just realized there's a connection between this scammer and the one who's been contacting almost all the managers on this forum, likely also involved in other scams that have occurred here.

I didn't think much about it, and then the scam attempt happened. I wasn't sure if all these were connected.
Meanwhile, the guy changed his username and display name twice, and I have been searching for his username here and there to check if I can find any information. They have now changed their username to @Dave_TCGWorId, and their display name is "David Evans 🇬🇧 I Will Never DM First", and they are pretending to be @Dave_TCGWorld, who is the owner of https://tcg.world/

I assume they are going to scam the moderators of their Telegram group in the same way they tried to scam me and Spinly.

The guy probably deleted the conversation but forgot to delete it for me.
Today, at 3.49 AM, while I was sleeping, Mr @Dave_TCGWorId reached me again, but it was a direct video call this time

We can't control Telegram scams anyway. The better practice is to contact your client through forum PM when it's related to the funds. Ask your clients to deal through forum PM; this practice would help to avoid impersonation and scams as well. When I had been managing the campaign, though I talked through Telegram, when it was related to funds, then I asked them to send me a PM on the forum. I teach them not to deal with Telegram accounts when they're related to the funds. So managers should practice it, and tech companies as well.

It's pretty much sure someone is targeting you to destroy your reputation. So you need to be very careful; instead of finding a scammer, you have to follow your own standards. Because impersonators could almost use your similar username. But when dealing through the forum, impersonators can't manage to clone usernames. Even mail could be spoofed, so be careful.

Unfortunately, not all people are aware of the dangers of dealing outside the forum. It's that easy to impersonate someone else, and if you're naive or unsuspicious enough, you'll easily fall victim. My main concern is how easy someone can affect your reputation, by making you appear as a scammer, and if the scam actually goes through, imagine having to go through the trouble of explaining yourself that you're not an elephant and have nothing to do with it. How can you prove that it wasn't your Telegram account? Unless you clearly disclose your accounts on the forum or only deal through PMs.

You shouldn't be surprised that such person wants to tarnished your good images and reputation over here for their personal gain, we should be that sensible enough to easily detects whether these people are Insider or people that are close to us.. my suspicion comes from where he said "he is holding no funds for the campaign management" that he needs FS. Now, my question is how did the person gat to know that you had no fund in your possession from the spinly.io team?

I think you should have a rethink of someone whom you disclose your management information with, such person should be questioned thoroughly. I could be wrong, but base on the scammers message on the screenshot is what I used to judge from my ends.
Nowadays people are too smart enough to outsmart people they got information from, I sincerely love the way you came to air out here.

The Cryptovator you are right I think dealing with client in the forum will be much better and safe however what I noticed is that this campaign managers sometimes are the once that look for this companies and then tell them about this forum and how campaigning or advertising there company on this forum can help grow there company and since the managers are the once that went looking for them they talked on telegram or any other social media platforms and telling the company to create an account on the forum and then telling them to discuss with you on PM in the forum may look stressful to them they just decide to deal with them outside the forum.
But I believe the managers should always tell them to open an account using there company name and then go through the forum for some time and see what is going on there if they are interested to run a campaign after ward you can tell them you will love you guys to discuss on the forum for security reasons you can even go forward to share your bad experience or that of others.
I believe they will listen and you guys can start discussing in the forum anytime in other to avoid all this telegram and other social media scammers trying to spoil your reputation.

What happened to you OP could happen to anyone. It's good that you warned and alerted the community about this matter so that they are not misled.

Any user who wants to contact you should be the one to initiate the conversation through one of the two official Telegram accounts you shared in the OP.

Everyone should know that you never DM first and this is the fundamental rule. Anyone trying to contact others while pretending to be you should be blocked immediately, as you do not start conversations . by following this rule, Impersonators will fail in deceiving others

but is this an official telegram report channel or is it something else? it says support under the "report impersonation" name, but i'm not sure.

But we are a little late here. The scammer has already changed his username again, and I am still tracking his profile every time he changes it. I believe this is his full-time job, and he will continue to change his username, pretend to be another project owner, and try to scam their employees again. If his current username doesn't match with anyone, we cannot report it. But this scammer should be stopped somehow. I tried to warn the previous project, but their bot automatically banned me from their TG group. LOL.

Right now you should focus on making sure that all of your clients can contact you on a safer channel, probably the forum or through SimpleX chat. For casual things TG should be fine. But as soon as money is involved make them sign message or teach them to contact via forum or simpleX client. Regarding reporting the user, it probably won't work that much. Previously I had reported a couple of scammer but none were flagged as scam. They will just come back with another account.

I'll be frank with you, GOT, those ss/chats felt real personal. It's like he knows you well, maybe even has a personal vendetta against you. That's probably why he's targeting you and your business specifically, trying to damage it. I have a feeling that you have crossed paths with this scammer on this forum before, maybe engaged in some threads....
