Hello!

One forum member has been sending private messages to all my active clients and was offering "low-price" services. I have been ignoring them because my client also ignored them. I launched Spinly.io's signature campaign just a few days ago, and boom, they reached Spinly.io as well and offered "Low Price" service. They informed me again, and this time I reached the guy. He apologized.

Later, a guy reached me on Telegram saying a casino I am working for is a scam, and they suspect I own the casino. According to them, "There is no reason why I would work for them if I do not own the casino." Refused to tell me who they are. So, let's say that was a coward.

Two days ago, I woke up with a message from an impostor who pretended to be a Spinly contact person and sent me a promo code for Spinly. The code was for 50 free spins, $1 each. They asked me to activate the promo code. Also, they asked not to post it in public. Later, I found them that they are scammers. I reached the Spinly contact person immediately and informed them about it, and they were surprised as well. Someone reached them pretending to be as God of Thunder and asked to create a promo code for 50 free spins $1 each.

They reached me and pretended to be a Spinly contact person

Also, they reached Spinly and pretended to be God Of Thunder

I believe they tried this:

» They asked Spinly to create a code,
» They asked me to activate it.

» Later, they would disappear, and Spinly would think it was me who used the code for personal gain.

I want to declare here that I have two Telegram accounts. 1- https://t.me/GodofThunderpro, 2- https://t.me/GodOfThunder009
I will never ask for loans/money from anyone. Make sure to double-check the username. Also, always confirm by sending a private message on the forum.

Now I am curious if these are purely scam attempt or what? I am also curious if all these incidents are tied somehow.

As you know, I am still too young in this business. I never thought I was popular enough to be targeted by the scammers. Fortunately, I was able to detect the impostor right at the beginning when they addressed me as "Bro". The casino representative never addressed me as "Bro". Also, the scammer said they want to get the donator status, while I already know that they know a lot about the forum. So, they already know that they have to donate a large amount to get the status. They created a group chat to discuss it with me. I immediately opened the private message and saw there were no messages. So I knew they were scammers. Yet, I wasted their time a little bit.

The moment I realized that they can reach my client as well, I reached spinly and they said that the scammers reached them as well. I feel like this is a less scam attempt, but an attempt to create a misunderstanding between Spinly and me. But I don't think any manager would do it. I have a very good relationship with all the managers. I assume either it was a professional scammer or someone who doesn't want to see me in this business.

I wouldn't be surprised if the owner had that in mind and that regardless of all the constructive criticism, he still refuses to introduce some changes that would make it impossible for his app to be a paradise for scammers.

@God Of Thunder, considering the work you do, wouldn't it be logical to try to switch your communications to another app? I won't name any, but there are several that are far better and more private than Telegram.

Just to be clear, did he manage to get the free spins from the team and then those are the very promo codes he sent to you?

I think someone is trying to sabotage your relationship with the team for various reasons such as
1. So they can take up the job, I mean, someone was already sending PMs to your clients behind your back. I have seen past dramas similar to this too, where someone decides to send "better offers" to clients so they can take up the job
2. Maybe trying to revenge?

We can't rule out scamming too.

All I can say is you need to watch your back. Some people are just so wicked when they see a money making opportunity.

You are right Lucius I think the best thing @God Of Thunder should do is change to  another communication app that is more safe and private, we have recorded a lot of scam activities coming from telegram and just like LoyceV said that It's almost as if it's designed to facilitate scamming, and his correct because the level of scam activities happening there is just too much, when you get a message from telegram about anything related to money what comes to your mind is scam activity and for an app like that someone that is doing the kind of job that desire trust from people should switch to a better app.

@God Of Thunder from your explanation you pointed out they have been doing this, and and I believe they won't stop, even now that you have posted your only 2 telegram account link those scammers will still look for a way to make there own similar with yours and some of your clients and those that trust your judgement may fall victim one day, so like Lucius advised switch your communications to another app, this will safe you from a lot in the future.

This is exactly what the scammer was counting on. There was also envy involved. The offer of cheap services, everything, literally says that you have envious people who also go hand in hand with you. Check your social circle; I would not be surprised if this is the person who stands next to you and perhaps also claims the position of manager. There are always hidden envious people who will one day try to come forward, despite promises of decency.

Such an attack might be new to you but not to other managers who has been in the job for a long time. How you were able to verify before anything shows you understand your service and how much scam attacks are ahead. While managers are slightly interested bringing out reports as such, i think it is best they do, in order for everyone to get enlightened, maybe soon we will be having another manager who might go under similar attack, reporting attacks in the forum is generously a good way of protecting others.

Scammers don't target popular people, rather they target the fans and followers of popular people.
You not being old in the business is another reason to target you.
I have been trying to understand the essence of that scam.
Do they just want to have 50 free spins of $1 each for themselves and try their luck or they want to initiate the conversation and create such a code with malware and make you send it to people in the forum?
If I were you, I would have delayed a bit to see where they will land. Seeing this post might not allow them continue their activity and we clueless of their intent.

If there is a hub for scammers then telegram should be the headquarters. Since telegram has no verification scammers finds it as safe haven for their phishing link schemes, crypto scams,
fake investment groups. I am not surprised because imposters walk around telegram freely without fear of unmasking their real identity.

someone is trying to scam and fuck you over at the same time is what i think.

You can't be surprised there are scammers and imposters on Telegram. It's very easy to change your username into something that looks like something else.
it's even worse than that, scammers leave the username field empty and just put the legit @username of the account they are impersonating in the bio.
if you do not paying close attention, it's easy to think you are talking to the real person if that the only thing you check.

It's almost as if it's designed to facilitate scamming.
that's a stretch imo, but telegram is definitely one of the apps you need to stay sharp on, else you will get scammed.

@God Of Thunder, considering the work you do, wouldn't it be logical to try to switch your communications to another app? I won't name any, but there are several that are far better and more private than Telegram.
I think leaving telegram can be really difficult for campaign managers, it is like the most common way to reach out to client/potential clients and workers. I think majority of the CM here managers uses it, and this means they are very much aware of the risks that comes with it.

Even reputable users having telegram username known faces danger of this from scammers and now being a CM, scammers interest would be more just find ways of limiting/avoiding this. Telegram is still the den for scammers.

As you know, I am still too young in this business. I never thought I was popular enough to be targeted by the scammers.
It’s the other way around. You are targeted because you are noob in the business and there's a chance for getting tricked.

@God Of Thunder, considering the work you do, wouldn't it be logical to try to switch your communications to another app? I won't name any, but there are several that are far better and more private than Telegram.
There's not a single client I got who ever asked me about alternative contact, not even discord. It’s telegram all the time.

As you know, I am still too young in this business. I never thought I was popular enough to be targeted by the scammers. Fortunately, I was able to detect the impostor right at the beginning when they addressed me as "Bro". The casino representative never addressed me as "Bro".
Because it's those who are new to the business, or those who are too young, who are always targeted because they assume there's still a gap, especially in terms of trust. Luckily, you're very observant about this.

But it's actually quite ridiculous that when discussing professional work matters, scammers use casual language for it.
While they might assume that speaking casually makes it seem natural, calling someone "bro" as a formal address is definitely a bit funny, lol.

Scammers are really imaginative sometimes
Sometimes on Telegram I pretend to be really interested to see how far they get
You don't know it but they have a secret word (which I can't say) to identify each other Smiley

so that one scammer doesn't scam another scammer

they really make me smile a lot

It’s the other way around. You are targeted because you are noob in the business and there's a chance for getting tricked.

LOL. This is not true. OP has been on the forum since 2017 and has worked with casinos since 2019. He probably has more experience than you do. Its just that his ego is so big that he always fucks up after a certain point and has to start back at zero. I do not have enough "proof" to issue tags or even open a thread about it, but I know that I am not wrong.

That says something about people, doesn't it?

There are always alternatives, so even though I wrote that I wouldn't mention them, I'll say that Signal is one such app that you should definitely try. After the owner of Telegram was arrested in France and after some time was released, many people are wondering if today various governments have a backdoor into this app - which is another reason to stop using it - at least for those who value their privacy.

I'm not disrupting what you are saying it can be true. But LM is just referring to the fact that OP recently became a CM  and I think they recieved more of such scam at Telegram.

In my opinion, you should highlight your official and public telegram so that everyone knows it.
either you keep it secret, like icopress does, or if you make it public you have to spread it as much as possible so that everyone knows about it
This is the only way to avoid problems!

I don't know if it was a good idea to reveal your Telegram usernames because now you will have to direct every client you get to this thread when you start working with them so that they can know about it and make sure they check the username whenever someone approaches them with your name on the account. When you keep your username(s) private, scammers or impersonators will have a harder time impersonating you since they won't know how to match their username with yours, which in this case seems clear that he knew your username already because he only changed "009" and made it "900". These small details are what they focus on.

And, if Telegram is your main source of contact with your clients, maybe you should purchase Telegram Premium, it will give you more options for privacy, and that might at least keep them away from you.
