* FEEDBACK REWARD PROGRAM - 2ND ROUND *

Our first feedback round was a success, and we have added several new features, optimizations and enhancements to our pool, based off the feedback we received from our miners in round one.

However, Alpereum strives for perfection and we are initiating a second round of feedback rewards. And we welcome you all to join: https://www.alpereum.ch/join-pool/

Miners who join our pool with at least 40 Mh/s combined for a minimum of 72 hours, and take the time to write a ticket (https://alpereum.zendesk.com/hc/en-us / support@alpereum.zendesk.com) with their feedback after the 72 hours have expired, will receive a 5 ETH bonus, in addition to payouts received by the pool in the period.

Miners with rigs of a combined > 100 Mh/s will receive a 10 ETH reward, in addition to payouts received by the pool in the period.

The top 3 most valuable feedback submitted will be awarded an additional +10 ETH.

Please notify us with a support ticket (https://alpereum.zendesk.com/hc/en-us or support@alpereum.zendesk.com), if you wish to participate in the program, and list your mining address.
At the end of the 72 hours, upon having submitted your feedback, we will send you your reward directly to your mining address. You are free to redirect your miner(s) if you so desire after this period.

The Feedback Reward Program is available for the first 25 miners who sign up to participate. Miners who are already with us or have been, are also welcome to participate. So are miners, who participated in previous rounds of the Feedback Reward Program. First come, first serve.
We will write here once the program is full and enough miners have been enlisted for this particular round.

* Returning / current miners should clear their browser cache before reporting feedback on the UI

Please provide both your positive and (equally important) negative feedback. Logged data and/or screenshots of relevance are greatly appreciated. Feel free to include feature suggestions, but exclude the following, which are already planned into our DEV road-map in the near future:

- 12 Hour Payouts
- Optional notification on idle/malfunctioning miners
- Global pool mining rewards payout transparency

New Pool Features

Aside from countless optimizations and improvements to UI and statistics, since our feedback v. 1 – we now boast the following new key features.

Stratum V2 Support

Alpereum now boasts complete Stratum V2 support, we modified our existing stratum code so that it is compatible with both V1 & V2 so no need to mine on a separate port to utilize Stratum V2. We recommend you use Ethminer Genoil to utilize Stratum V2. Many of our miners have reported increased stability and performance using Stratum V2.

Multiple Static Difficulty Ports

We now have multiple ports set on static difficulties, so you can pick the best difficulty for your mining operation. Generally speaking, this was previously a taboo thing for a pool to do. Before we investigated and fixed the issue, malicious miners used to be able to submit the same block header hash across multiple ports to scam an unsuspecting pool. Our development team figured out a way to patch this to permanently prevent that from happening. Now we are happy to offer to our miners multiple static difficulties so they can better optimize their miners!

Current Static Diff Ports:

3000 - 500 Million
3001 - 1 Billion
3002 - 2 Billion
3003 - 3 Billion
3004 - 4 Billion
3005 - 5 Billion
3006 - 6 Billion
3007 - 7 Billion
3008 - 8 Billion
3009 - 9 Billion
3010 - 10 Billion

Variable Difficulty (Beta)

We have developed our own Variable Difficulty, also known as VARDIFF. Before we ventured into the development of Variable Difficulty, we looked at other pools that have tried VARDIFF with Ether and failed. We realized they were trying to implement a version of VARDIFF that is great for use on Bitcoin/Bitcoin clones but for Ether it is not good at all. So we had to re-invent the way that VARDIFF works entirely for Ether.

Keep in mind that Variable Difficulty is still in a Beta stage, but we believe it to be good enough for the public to utilize.

The VARDIFF system will re-target your miner on a certain difficulty every 10 minutes, until it finds a difficulty to where your miner will be able to submit approximately 1 share every 10 seconds. It may take a few hours until your miner finds the perfect difficulty. If your miner is disconnected for any reason or times out from the pool (30 minutes) the VARDIFF system will start over again. This is why we offer three different starting difficulties for VARDIFF, so in the event your miner is disconnected you at least start at a difficulty that is somewhat close to where you need to be.

VARDIFF Ports:

4000 - Starting Diff 300 Million
4001 - Starting Diff 1 Billion
4003 - Starting Diff 3 Billion
4005 - Starting Diff 5 Billion

If you are un-sure of what Difficult you need to start on, then we suggest you use port 4001.

Less Invalid Shares

During our first feedback round, many miners expressed concerns about a somewhat higher number of invalid shares as compared to other pools.
We have addressed this issue, and our developers took a deep dive into the pool code finding and fixing various issues. With our new rolled out update, there is way less invalid shares for miners and in general more stability for miners. If you experienced an invalid share issue in the past with Alpereum, we highly suggest that you come back and give it another shot. Especially on Stratum V2.

New Global Servers

During our first feedback-round we realized that our global locations (North America and Asia) had a lot to be desired of in terms of latency and performance. We co-located several new v5 Skylake servers to new datacenters in both North American and Asia. Guaranteeing better latency, uptime, and performance for our non-European miners.

On https://www.alpereum.ch/join-pool/ our various global options are available. We recommend you pick the one which gives you the lowest latency (usually your geo-local server), but be sure to include feedback on both your geo-local server as well as our main (European) server, should the geo-local server not perform as expected.

We hope to once again see strong participation in our 2nd feedback round. Happy mining everyone.

There is still plenty of slots open in our second feedback round!

We encourage any miner with over 40 MH/s to come over and try us out for 72 hours.

40+ MH/s = 5 ETH Feedback Reward

100+ MH/s = 10 ETH Feedback Reward

Please read the original post above for more information.
