Hello all, and best wishes to you!

I would like to humbly request your help in resolving an issue that occurred as a result of my inexperience with Electrum.  I had previously used Multi-Bit, but I find Electrum to be the superior wallet and I will continue to use it despite my problem.  I only hope I can recover an Electrum wallet containing $200; not a lot of money to some, but I am not a rich man and I desperately need to regain access to it.

I failed to record important data such as my Seed during Electrum set-up.  I used Coin Base to transfer the $200 to my new Electrum wallet, and the transaction was a complete success; the funds appeared in my Electrum wallet lightning fast.

However, when I attempted to transfer the $200 in my Electrum wallet to another bitcoin address, the problem occurred.  I must have entered the incorrect password too many times and now the wallet actually no longer appears at all, and when I attempt to recover it, Electrum informs me this wallet is now in a "Watchable Mode" only and that I must "ensure I own the Seed Based Password, Master Keys, and additional data.  As I mentioned, I failed to record this data.

Last night I briefly succeeded in making this wallet containing $200 reappear, but it disappeared again within seconds.

I really need to regain access to this wallet containing $200, ladies and germs.  Please provide any help or advice you can.

Also, if you need any more data to help you form a plan of action, just let me know and I will provide.

Thank you very much for your time!  Hopefully I can recover my $200 wallet somehow.

Thanks again!

A Very Desperate quietmouse

Sorry for the situation. I think without the seeds, it will be difficult to recover the account. You may want to contact Electrum for more information.

Maybe you could post a screen shot? I'm not finding any Google results (other than this thread) for "Watchable Mode."

I see no way on Electrum's website to contact them.

Coinbase was unable to reverse the blockchain transaction.

I now have my seed.  However, I do not have the seed's secret pass phrase, nor can I decrypt the seed.

I even tried to hire wallet recovery services but received no response.

If there is an honest person out there that can recover this wallet and NOT clean it out entirely, I will pay you $50 out of the wallet which contains approximately $220.

I am that fed up and desperate.  $50 in btc, fellas, just come and recover this godforsaken wallet.  PM if you like.

Im not sure I can follow you. If you have the seed you dont need a password for it. Do you maybe have the wallet file?

If you want I can run btcrecover[1] for you.

What does you seed look like? 12 or 13 dictionary words? If you have that, you don't need any password to recovery your wallet.

If you still have access you to that electrum wallet but you didnt know the password
you can go here and check if there is wallet like Default wallet or any name there
here C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets
right click on it and open it on note pad and you see all the details there...
then if not resolve your issue pm me and i will try my best to recover your btc

Thanks everyone for the help.  I did start a new thread about an error I'm encountering, and the guy that posted in that thread was right when he said I didn't respond to you.  So many thanks to you all, the wallet has been recovered, now its error time.   Smiley
