Why americans and russians did not destroy each other so the rest of world can live in sovereignty?

America is becoming a global threat that can do almost anything without being countered. At least in cold war killing communists or overthrowing communist regimes overseas was met with adequate counter reaction. This thin balance also kept the russian communist plague from spreading all over western europe.

If that had happened do you think we'd be typing here? I rather think we'd be either dead or huddled in bunkers. Have you ever played one of the Fallout video games? Yeah, like that, but much, much worse.

I'm rather glad they didn't kill each other, though that doesn't mean I like 'em. I mean, they're okay as individuals, but in packs they fly big flags and shoot big guns. That's not what I want in a country.
