I would like to purchase a small quantity of BitCoin; unfortunately what little money I have is tied up in PayPal (as opposed to being in my bank) which means that I can't buy any BTC because people will not trust newcomers to reverse the transfer.

Would it not be possible to buy some if the payment was sent as a gift (from what I understand, gift payments cannot be reversed)? Surely if using this method the buyer can be trusted so long as they pay first?

Thanks.

P.S. And although I should post this in the Market, is there anyone who'd be willing to exchange $17 for BTC using the method mentioned above?

At the current rate, $17 is about 1.7 BTC.  I'd do it, but I don't have even 1.7 BTC.  I have 0.438, but I'm expecting some Ponzi payouts soon, so I MIGHT have it in about 14 hours.

I have seen BTC gift certificates on www.btcquick.com maybe that's what you're talking about?
