Blockchain.com holds my bitcoins for more than 60 days without giving any reason!
I deposited 19 bitcoins and some of my tethers and on blockchain.com. There has been no problem so far. I was very satisfied with their service. Then I decided to withdraw my bitcoins and sent them a request November 2, 2020, (their monthly interest expired on that time)
The process in which Blockchain.com lost its credibility starts here.

When my withdrawal request was not approved, a ticket was posted on the site. As seen in the conversations below, they requested the "necessary" documents to complete the withdrawal process.

However, there was a question that troubled my mind. Why did blockchain.com, which has been depositing monthly interest fees for a long time without any problems, asked these documents when I made a withdrawal request? If there is a problem with my account, why haven't they happened so far? Then, I made myself believe that a company that promotes itself as the "Most Trusted Crypto Company" should not have any difficulties in giving my money back.

https://i.ibb.co/SXc8RL8/tickets-1.png
https://i.ibb.co/LJzYL5h/2.png

After they asked me for the "necessary" documents below, I delivered them all within a day. After submitting the required documents, they asked for more documents....

https://i.ibb.co/MDN9j0L/ticket-4.png
https://i.ibb.co/MGBFzr0/ticket-5.png

Still waiting for them to reach me..
As can be seen from the following speech, I also submitted the requested documents later above. Although I knew how unnecessary the "necessary" documents requested from me were, I sent them...

https://i.ibb.co/60J3FPZ/ticket-6.png

After submitting the second part of the "necessary" documents. I received the following message.

https://i.ibb.co/fnspZkF/ticket-7.png

It is 20 days after my withdrawal request. I am still struggling to find out when blockchain.com will return my money.

https://i.ibb.co/r28QKhz/ticket-8.png

One month later they gave me back my tether in the investment segment.
However, they still hold my 19 bitcoins

https://i.ibb.co/b3NzfsC/ticket-9.png

As you can see from the conversations, the biggest nonsense is that they said they would convert the bitcoins I deposited on this site into tether before sending it to me.
Why? What is the reason behind? If you deposit euros in a bank. When you withdraw your money, you get euro. They cannot convert your money unless you want to.

https://i.ibb.co/RDm2TCh/ticket-10.png

They still say the process is under the control of the finance department. I also e-mailed my situation to the CEO of this "reliable" company. I have posted the status almost ten times on the Trustpilot website.

https://i.ibb.co/Srkv7t2/ticket-11.png

On December 22, they responded that the process would be completed within a week.

Guess what happened a week later? Nothing. They said it would be resolved in a week, but my money was not sent back to me.
I asked again. WHERE IS THE MONEY?

https://i.ibb.co/kVn2Gg0/ticket-12.png

This is my ticket numbers - as you can see it is in open status for 2 months

https://i.ibb.co/r7TLnTz/ticket-numbers.png

This is the last message that I sent from Trustpilot ;

https://i.ibb.co/ykdZpFn/d.png

If you look at the ratings on the Trustpilot site, you can easily see that this site is not reliable.

I'm sorry to know about your issues regarding blockchain. Have you tried going over to other forums / social media to try and gather attention? With all the attention geared towards looking good on media if your case got enough attention perhaps your case would get solved more quickly. Just a random idea though...

Fucking blockchain so far. It's ridiculous their second requirement about documents. What does mean asking about how I am advertising my business? Is it really their business? I am wondering how you dare to deposit 19 BTC on a blockchain wallet. Is there any staking system? Otherwise how and where you invest? I am not using that shit for a long time.

Don't trust any web wallet with that kind of huge funds. 19BTC isn't a small amount at all. They might ask may documentations and harass you. The support team is irresponsible there, not friendly to solve the issue. It seems there are many accusations against blockchain wallet. You are holding 19 BTC means you are capable to buy multiple hardware wallets or even a cold wallet. Be your own bank doesn't mean keeping your funds in Blockchain.

Just try to keep connect with the support team, only they could help you. If your fund in the wallet, then you may import your seed on other wallet software. Blockchain BIP39 seed would be import into Electrum. It would work only if the fund holding into a wallet address, not into an investment wallet.

Thank you all for your supports, I just want to know if anyone has experienced a similar issue in the forum.

As you suggested, I try on every social media platform to reach their executives.

I got an another answer today;
"Unfortunately, due to financial regulation, this withdrawal may take longer than usual. It is with our team and being processed, but the due course must be taken hence it might still take time to complete. We apologise for any inconvenience!"

It may take longer than usual? What is usual time for you? 60 days is not longer than usual?

I will update the status again.

Thanks

My guess is that you somehow triggered some AML flag, and they must do some investigating or reporting or get some sort of approval before they can send your money, and they are not allowed to tell you this.

Blockchain wallet provide very bad services. Honestly speaking, this wallet is becoming like freewallet.

Are you withdrawing your funds all at once? If so, I think there can be trouble in this because they are doing verification to give such a huge amount of money. Try a small withdraw

Can you swap your assets? If yes, after converting your assets to another currency, try to withdraw.
Apart from this, have you used its mobile application? If not, try it, maybe your issue will be resolved.

Thank you for your answers. I put my bitcoins in the interest section on the blockchain. I would receive monthly interest for bitcoin. Since it was a month, I decided it was unnecessary. This date is November 2. Everything else is as above. I'm still waiting. Today is day 68.

That's kind of what I was thinking, especially since OP got this message:

Quote
Unfortunately, due to financial regulation, this withdrawal may take longer than usual.

That's a large amount of bitcoin you're talking about, and since Blockchain.com is a web wallet which holds your coins for you it sounds like they're under the thumb of some body of regulators.

"Not your keys, not your coins."
OP, hopefully you realize what this means and if so, I would seriously think about that fact when looking for a wallet to store your bitcoins in.

I too am having issues with Blockchain.com and not for the first time either. My first issue was very like yours. I tried to cash in (sell) on the last spike but the transaction just stuck and nothing happened for days... and my support query was not answered for many days either by which time BTC had lost 25% of its value. When their hugely under-resourced support got around to answering my query they told me they needed more verification, despite me having been fully verified already.

Personally I have reached the conclusion this exchange is very dishonest. As soon as my current issue is solved I am moving everything to either Coinbase or Binance (I have also opened a Revolute account to disguise the exchange from my local bank accounts).

If you'd like to read about my current issue it's here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5308557.0

And... good luck!

Oh yes, and I'm going to blackmouth them all over the Internet, including Trustpilot and Reddit

Sending 19 BTC to one such platform and not expecting problems would be really unexpected. They are all very happy to accept deposits, but when you want your money back they treat you like the worst criminal - but they actually want to protect themselves from someone using their service for something illegal, and all regulations certainly force them to do so.

And even when you buy BTC through their platform they keep them frozen for up to 7 days until they check if everything is legal. As odolvlobo has already mentioned, this happens when you replace the advantage of a decentralized system with a centralized system, which also has poor customer support.

Unfortunately, Not your keys, not your coins and the platform is notorious for such fraud cases.
As long as you pursue the claim, you will find that they will respond to you, but you must continue with those claims.
Try to hire a lawyer, and if your country supports that, this will put pressure on them and he will return your money to you.
Create a topic in reddit and you will find a lot of support.

I'm sorry for that trouble that they've brought to you. This is the reason why even if a platform offers interest, I don't bother myself to be interested on it and just simply and quietly keeping my own coins on my hardware wallet rather than interest and then during the withdrawal will have a trouble like this.

As you know, blockchain.com has a lot of issues through bugs and this thing that you've brought isn't also new. I hope that you'll be able to get what you have from them and they'll process it not longer than it is pending. Since when was the last follow up you did for your request to them?

83 DAYS NO REFUND
I've been waiting for 83 days with my money refunded. Absolutely nobody should invest money on this site. As if these were not enough, they told me that they would send my money within 1 week, but now 5 weeks have passed.
By what right have you been holding my money for 83 days?
You have already paid some of my money.
For what reason do you keep my bitcoins?
By holding the bitcoin of so many people, you actually manipulate the market.
What is the maximum waiting time?
Why don't you respond to tickets?
Do not automatically text me. Give me some empathy. Take responsibility and write a realistic answer.

IMHO.

This isn't a valid reason for them to hold your funds. Most of the companies like exchanges and other tech companies have adopted the new normal and allowed their employees to work from home. They should've released your funds and you've given and applied too much patience with the situation.

They've been holding your funds for too long and that's sick, they never improve.  Undecided

There is nothing that much I can do and to suggest if I'm on your place. But when I've got issues with them before, I keep on emailing them until they resolve the issue I'm reporting to them.

Your patience is incredible and I can't take that much patience if they keep on saying to wait. But your funds is with them and there is really nothing we can do until they release it.
