The first thing a Bitcoin newbie needs to be aware of is if someone else gets their hands on their private keys then there's no going back. Caution will spring from there.

How does one know for certain your coins has became vulnerable to a trojan that can specifically hijack your priv key from a specific wallet? Because if a program would of had access to your privkey, it would itself instantly send a transaction to a preconfigured node asking all your funds to be moved.

Its not an actual hacker that does the work. You just code a trojan and wait for funds to arrive while you work on infecting more people.

Not really because it looked like a remote control trojan. There are automatic built ones, but those are dumb and have no way of detecting bitcoin.

However a remote hacker can just enter my pc and copy the wallet to himself and then wait until i write in the pw and log that.

I moved immediately the funds to a safe place, and yes this was a bad experience, but it happened months ago.

The intentions of this thread are admirable, however I would suggest that you elaborate on each "commandment" extensively whenever you have the opportunity to do so.

Most people are not sure what you mean in-depth by each commandment and beginner's could use some tips/how-to!

Let me say that there are to many people on here that use common passwords.  I am not talking passwords that are commonly known to everyone, it is a common password that is known to you.  To many people use the same passwrod for everything and all you have to do is get that one password and you can get into their whole life.

is something like TOR worth using?? Like I don't need to go private often but is incognito private enough? It's fine for buying stuff in secret i think

depends on what you're planning to do  Wink but for a little anonymous browsing TOR should be sufficient.

I don't think you should need tor to tell the truth.  If it's some "in secret" one would assume it's illegal or you don't want people to know you ordering X item.  So... I would stay away from it.

Also the problem is eventually X item needs to make it to you.  So at sometime there is something attached to you to get the item.  So yes BTC if  never used can be anonymous but once used for something I think it loses a lot of that part of being anonymous.

i would use something like tunnelbear or surfeasy, which is free and they give you 1giga per month, i think that tor is not really anonymous, and it is spied in some way

I think there needs to be a better commandment in there concerning trust.  There are so many scam sites out there and scam users out there always trying to get something for free.  So for all of you new to this forum and read this, you need to be careful of everyone and read their trust and past posts in order to see who you are dealing with.
