Hey all, I'm still a learning on the home mining front, I have always been cloud. I picked up an s3+ a while back at a fair price. I guess everyone is dumping them to to the cost of running. I have mine setup on a solar system so that's not an issue for me.

The problem I have is that at night I can't leave the frequency at 250, it drains my battery's to fast and shuts down. But if I drop the frequency  to 175 it lasts the night. I have to do this every night manually, I see a setting called "Scheduled Tasks" it seems I can drop code into the texts box, can I put code into this box to lower the frequency  at say 9pm and then increase  it at 10am? The code in the box at the moment  reads as below...

*/3 *  *   *   *     /usr/bin/cgminer-monitor

If so what would the code look like? If not any other ideas?

All the best

I can't answer your question, however I am sure what you want to do is possible. This is what I do know.

The line you have show initiates the running of the file cgminer-monitor every 3 minutes. This monitor checks the Miner is hashing and if not restarts cgminer.

You can add other files to be run in this monitor window and could definitely set up your times. You would then need to have a file that sets the miner frequency. This PDF describes the Linux Command line and the format you would need to set your timing.

The file has to be loaded into the miner by SSH connection into the miner. Best program to do this with is WinSCP which can be downloaded.

This link is to a script for the S5 that does something similar to what you require and will provide some clues as to the sort of code needed.

I suspect someone will come along with a better answer to your question, but this is as much as I can help.
