Oh. What can you recommend for me then? Sad
Depends what u want. U won't earn from mining but you can earn from holding.
Its best investment out there. You would spend money on miners, and you can better invest them in bitcoin itself.

Bitcoin mining is only profitable nowadays if you have access to very cheap (almost free) energy. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense.

Bitcoin mining is where you mine your own bitcoin but i think now it's not the right time to start mining because of the incoming halving and after halving it will result for a mining difficulty increase and divided block reward.

Someone is doing a little gorilla marketing I feel with hashocean.  It keeps poping up under Beginner forum and it's not due to it's legitimacy so feel it is a sales push.  If you are going to cloud mine there are a LOT of scams out there I highly suggest just going to Hashnest.

It is trusted with being part of Bitmain, and gives you a fair shot of ROI.    So those who are reading about mining and want to go cloud side really look at Hashnest.   Read about others and you will see how many are scams.  And how Hashnest is "legit" for lack of better term.

Not true for all so many variables to consider.  A big thing will be electricity price but you still can mine it just is a tighter margin then it was say when asics first came out.  Also new generations of miners help a LOT on keeping profitable for those with electricity cost that is high side of profitable.    For example the S9 is huge jump in efficiency.   So no not everyone will be able to start mining, but there is still opportunity for some.

Ether is kinda another story with GPU people have been able to do it on a higher electricity rate (still cut's into profit though).  But it really is only GPU coin worth mining.  But it is gaining lot's of popularity so I do agree some might look into it.

Huh

Mining is the way that virtual coins arise. Via specific machines which decode code blocks (each block there is a quantity of coins). Computers make calculations mathematical and when a calculation is solved the value of that block goes to the portfolio who decided, this process is called mining precisely because it is like gold mining, only virtual, each block that solves gets more difficult than the last. Before it was possible to mine some currencies like Bitcoin with own machine, but the blocks are getting more and more difficult, so today I think it is not possible mining bitcoin with a common computer. To mine requires specific hardware. Mining has a high cost, especially in electricity and hardeware equipment, which makes unfeasible mining in some countries where these costs are very high, as is the case of Brazil = (...

How can you say that bitcoin mining is not profitable any more just because of the incoming halving? For me, i don't think so, because the price of bitcoin is getting higher and higher after weeks. So the price will be adjusted to make the bitcoin mining still profitable for miners Smiley. I think it's bad news if miners will leave bitcoin mining Sad. It just my opinions Cheesy.

some cloud mining providers are actually scam or ponzi's that still did not collapse. so almost by default do not trust cloud mining. there are only few pools/clouds that work. if you choose for cloud, it will either not pay enough as returns (like genesis - legit but likely not breakeven) or it will collapse (like hashocean).
thing about hashocean or other ponzis is also timing and ethics. if you are ok willingly to enter a ponzi, you may as well make a good return before it collapses. but you make that off other people's losses...
