Hi BitcoinTalk,
I've been creating a new altcoin, simply for fun, and I've been stuck on one part. I've been coding the coin, and I have created the makefile (I'm running Kubuntu on a VM), run it with the -testnet and -noirc switches, but I get an error saying:

Error: To use VizCoin, you must set a rpcpassword in the configuration file:
 /home/crypto/.vizcoin/vizcoin.conf
It is recommended you use the following random password:
rpcuser=******
rpcpassword=********
(you do not need to remember this password)
If the file does not exist, create it with owner-readable-only permissions

I have created the file in the given directory, but kubuntu can't access it. If someone could point me towards a successful solution for my issue, there may be a few hundred doge in it for you.  Wink

Have you changed the file permissions and the file owner ? you can use chmod and chown command to do that stuff

How do I use the two commands?

It's either not in the right place, not named properly, or not capitalized correctly
