GPU Mining Rig - Newbie

Hi All, I'm a newbie obviously  I would like to build a GPU mining rig but honestly i don't know about the suitable setup and i have few questions if any one kind enough to help me:

1- what GPU's to buy and how many? price each?
2- Motherboard? price?
3- what altcoins I can mine with GPU? what would be the H/S for such setup?
4- If I'm bored can i turn it into a gaming PC? 
5- any useful links to show how to put them together would be highly appreciated, in case they require some special rack or case etc...

PS: My budget is $600 - $700 and can be stretched a bit.. and electricity is not an issue.. this setup will be more of a hobby and not to get rich

you need to be in alt coins.

you can get good 2 card mobos


best coins are  ETH and XMR

you can game with it.
