All polo coins dropped due to zcash?

I usually trade on poloniex and today saw a huge downward movement in all coins dropping nearly 40%of my investment?.is it due to zcash entry?what price will zcash land at ?at present it is trading at 8btc a coin iam so surprised confused about what to do?any expert advice?

I dont think so regarding  with this  thing about  zcash hence i  do   heard  lots of  news that  it would  hit exchanges as  of today and   the potential  price would  be  30+ btc per coin which is   really high  but  its  just  an assumption of  many   but i dont  think it would   reach  that price but  definitely  it would be  decent  when it launch. Most of alts price do on downtrend because of bitcoins  suddens  price increase  because of the  adoption of  chinese which  have  bought  almot millions of  bitcoin.

The alts are not dropping because of zcash but because of the early stage of bitcoin rally. Towards the bitcoin peak alts will have insane rally and at that very point Monero might rise 100 times (like many alts did back in 2013).

Up to now, Monero belongs to the elite of altcoins and a lot of early adopters are interested in Monero as well so it is Monero that will most likely rise at the peak of bitcoin rally.

We have seen the altcoin market weak before. I think it has to do with Bitcoin being strong. I don't think it has much to do with ZCash

What you said is absolutely correct.investors will at a big loss during inception as I have seen zcash to rise up to 12 btc from 8 and now it's at 6.dont know the future but all those who bought at 11-12 range are niw at 50%loss

I think it's gotta be overall sentiment. zec volume is only number 3 and you'd have to be mad to get out of an established coin and buy into something with a fraction of one per cent available supply.

Why you don't say the same for XMR? Ppl. lost tons of money because they listend to guys like you who motivated permanently newbies in different kind of boards (trollboxes) to invest as much as possible at a period of falling prices. At 160 you said you'll even motivate your friends to buy XMR that the price will be stabilized.   They would had lost now more then 50%

But I do you a favour that you may stop trying to convice ppl. to buy monero: XMR will rise by itself. I predict a strong uptrend as soon as the price of BTC dips.  XMR will for sure not hit 150+ this year. It is a strong buy atm for medium and long term.

Many stocks lost coins. XMR for example 40k the last 24h. Either the ppl. sell or what I could imagine (because every coin drops so hard and BTC cannot be the only reason for that) that zcash is shorting other coins to setup a stress factor to investors of these coins.
I think so because Zcash has strong financial investors. Kinda conspiracy Theorie. But i cannot explain why so many coins are losing so much $ -only BTC is no explanation to me. BTC market cap. doesn't grow parallel like other coins shrink

I doubt it is because of Zcash launch, though some crazy traders want to be part of the stupidity, but to me it is because of the spike in Bitcoin price. Zcash can only go down in price with time

You and me (+ friends of mine) have completely different approach to Monero and crypto in general.
You are a player which I used to be also 2014-2015. Playing the volatility can be profitable if you make sure you have set stop-losses and let the profits run a bit longer (you will end up getting positive expected value).
My approach on the other hand is I am an investor and I am looking for picking up the low hanging fruit instead of trying to pinpoint cents from every small movement.
I am aiming higher than a few pennies here and there.
Even though Monero might stay at 0.004 for entire 2017 I am not going to sell but consider buying more.

Zcash I am also looking into once the price stabilizes somewhere, but I want to see it stabilizing first and see what the bottom is, no I am not even imagining to catch exactly the bottom because I am investing into it, not playing.

I have lost 0 bitcoins, 0 Moneros and 0 dollars unlike you are claiming all the time.

It can be due to the Zcash and altcoins usually will loose its price when bitcoin gets stronger. I would encourage you to hold bitcoin. If you are an investors in altcoins, then hold them. If you are a trader, then sell and keep your bitcoins. Don't touch Zcash. Buying Zcash now would be like trying to catch a falling knife.

Don't fall for that crap.That is just the hype created which will fall down soon.I would not even buy that shit for 1 satoshi.They claim to solve the problems bitcoins has and they're totally dependent on bitcoins.Not worth the investment.Another failcoin in the series.

The cause for the fall was because of the BTC rally.  I don't get why it's even open for discussion or debate.  All cryptocurrencies are traded against BTC and if that goes up huge, then naturally, all altcoins traded against it will go down.

Some people may think that an altcoin will replace BTC.  Maybe it will, but for now BTC is at the center of everything.

ZCash is just a highly hyped up coin which is now being pumped and hyped hard and all the red you see in the market has nothing to do with it but instead it is because of the bitcoin price rise as others have also said millions of times on different topics.
don't worry too much everything will be back to normal and the good old pump and dump days
