I agree with pursuer.
Etc may or may not be a good investment.
However, it is a very volatile coin to invest $150 in, especially if you are new to alt coins.
Never invest everything in one coin.

I would recommend to never invest in a coin below the top 100 on coin market cap as there are a lot of scams out there (for example the 250,000$ letitride scam).

Put most of your money in something stable like litecoin, or better still, tether, which is pegged to the price of the dollar.

What is the deal with ETC price ATM? I missed the news that is causing the downward price movement.

And don't get Tether, it's literally pegged to the dollar in a way that's going to hinder speculation. While it may move every so slightly, if Tether works, then you should have the same amount of value that you put in.

There isn't a lot of news on ETC, I think people just speculate a lot about the price.
It is pretty risky considering it is challenging the best altcoin (in terms of market cap) but it is an interesting idea.

I told the OP to put money into Tether if he wants to keep it safe, not as an investment.

The hype is gone with ETC. People have come to realize that it will still take a lot of work and a lot of time before it can reach parity with ETH. Many assumed that just because it is the original chain that it will automatically reach parity in a short amount if time.

WOW the mentality + perception of you all simply blows my mind.

How could you possibly have such tunnel vision ?
Is the meter of success for ETC.. the market price of Ethereum (ETH) ?
Seriously for fuck sakes people..
Like WTF ?

EVEN if that was a marker or gauge or meter of success of sorts.
How valid is it ?

Whether you deem ETH to be a scam or "scammy" like i do.
Then you STILL have to admit it's been "pumped" and or Manipulated heavily.
..since day 1.

And THAT is your meter of success ?
Really ?
Seriously ?

This is why i come here.. you all amuse my god damn balls off !
I am shocked at how you run your mouth so damn much with the brand new accounts.
Then spout off this tired ass old cliche'd profiteer mantra.. "Profit is good"
In a Free Market with no laws or regulations rife with scams and THOUSANDS Of coins
..and more coming.

You all blow me the fucking hell away with your bold audacity at justifying this moronic stupidity.
Retorts ?
Yeah.. i need money.. dev's deserve money.. nothing wrong with profit blah blah blah..
It's all a pathetic joke.. a BlockNET million dollar joke or a manipulated ETH billion dollar cap joke.

What might be the gauge of success (other than centralized scammy exchange prices right now) ?
Any idea kidiots ?

You know i am doing you all a favor and pointing out how god damn stupid you all look here.
You would think you guys would learn ..but you don't.

The only thing the outside world sees from this watching us here is..
We are all easy pickin's ..low hanging crypto-tard fruit !
This Altcoin scene is a beacon flashing to all the scammy sleazy dregs around the world
flashing with dollar signs !

I want to make a small investment and see how it goes. What do you people think of ETC, I looked up Etherium and read something about a hacker and a hard fork, so I googled what Hard fork was and saw ETc was the newer one and now im considering buying.

If i lose, no big deal but it will discourage me. I'm putting in like 150$ to try this out. Is it a good choice?
I just make Investment on ethereum classic is just for small amount and it is just for short time, if there is chance for get profit i will take it. I don't hold ethereum classic for long time because it is still new and not stable.

I think its not a bad idea if you want to hold etc, there is a big speculation that etc is going to be big, but because it just a speculation i dont expect it too much, holding such alt coin is a very risky move but it can be profitable, and in this case holding etc i think  can be profitable

Yeah, people should know trading altcoin is very risky and profitable, this is the no.1 rule. And buy low, sell high, we will know how to profit in altcoin.

I think so. Trading altcoin is not profitable most of the time. If you see the delist of the altcoin by the exchanges.

It can not be profitable if you choose an altcoin that you didnt know if the altcoin have a potencial to grow or not..
So always becareful to choose what altcoin is the best..
For me for safety better to choose the top10 in the marketcap you can choose what altcoin in the top 10 to hold for a long time because those are legit to hold.
