Recently I have been scammed in excess of over $100 and this post is here to serve as a warning to anyone dealing with this user.

I was contacted on BTC-E as I was trying to purchase LTC with paypal by the user chumlee (https://btc-e.com/profile/22509)
After talking with him on skype for a while (matt.solowski) he persuaded me (I know it was stupid) to pay him through paypal gift for the sum of $100 to buy 17 LTC at that time.
He then proceeded to stall, claiming that his wallet needed to update and other such nonsense. After giving him a deadline to refund he never did and now has ceased all communication.

The skype chatlog is posted here in case anyone wants to laugh at my misfortune, this is from the moment he started to stall for time.
I kind of guessed that I would not see my money ever again at that point but still had some hope:

[17:34:09]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Through btc-e instead but I don't know, I could try and help you to see what's wrong with your wallet but I'd need you to post that screenshot first...
[17:38:05]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Ok, could you please refund me as this is taking a long time. I understand that this sucks for you but I'm 100usd out of pocket atm.

[17:39:21]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: damn, still would like to be refunded though. Don't want to have to resort to a credit-card chargeback...
[17:40:12] matt solowski: yea I know

[17:40:42]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Alright, but please keep me updated

I can understand that this sucks for you but this should not be made my issue.
[17:48:39]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: to refund*
[17:49:14] matt solowski: If I cant fgure out in 10 min Ill refund
[17:49:18] matt solowski: ok

[17:58:21]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Any update?
[18:00:01] matt solowski: no man sorry
[18:00:30]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Ok, as it has been more than 10 minutes. Can I please be refunded?
[18:05:00] matt solowski: just have to chargeback
[18:05:16] matt solowski: lag is to much on my comp im sorry
[18:05:18]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Why? It's quite easy to refund paypal
[18:05:21] matt solowski: cant figure it out
[18:05:23] matt solowski: how
[18:05:35]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Go to paypal, click transaction, refund
[18:05:42] matt solowski: the balanace is less then there before now
[18:07:02]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Look, as we probably both know a chargeback is a lenghty process and will probably result in your paypal account being suspended. You can still refund me even if your balance is not sufficient
[18:07:27]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: If you refuse to refund me I will make sure you are advertised on all litecoin and bitcoin forums for scamming me
[18:07:48]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: I doubt you ever had the intention of actually paying those coins and I should have known better
[18:08:00] matt solowski: ?
[18:08:19] matt solowski: I had the same thing just happen to someone else no scam
[18:08:29]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: If you don't refund me within 10 minutes as of now, I will be reporting you to BTC-E and all litecoin related forums, your choice
[18:12:36]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: 5 minutes left
[18:15:17]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Ok time's up
[18:15:34]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Really hoped it would not come to this
[18:19:38]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Reported to BTC-E including name, paypal email and skype userid
[18:19:59]  ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Now writing a post on http://forum.litecoin.net/

So PLEASE be careful, don't make the same mistake I did and definitely DON'T ever trade with this user.
This has completely put me out of my savings.

If anyone finds it in their heart to help me get back by donating a small amount of LTC, you are awesome and I am forever in your debt...

I think the real lesson here is to never pay anyone via Paypal as a gift.

Trust me, lesson learnt. A hard one at that...
Reported him to btc-e as that's where I met him but they won't do anything apparently.

I did pay with paypal, but as a gift. I reported the transaction but paypal denied my claim so I don't think that will work...
Most of the money came straight out of paypal balance as well.

What was the reason for denying your claim?
Push paypal harder..
Interestingly enough, some ppl say PayPal reverses even gifts, and some ppl(you f.e.) on the other hand report that PayPal won't reverse gifts..

Newbies: please take at least one day to read this forums before buying any cryptocurrency. Paypal is a big no-no, random internet people with no OTC or trustable history on these forums is another big no-no, it's written on the wiki and all over these forums.

I know, I saw an opportunity and jumped in blindfolded.. I paid the price and don't think i'll be able to get back into ltc for a long time...
Off course I know $100 is pocket change to some but it means a rather substantial amount to me.
As it was a paypal gift I tried reversing the payment claiming "unauthorized usage" (as I logged in through a different IP in case this would happen) but Paypal didn't see any problems and denied my claim.

VitalViper knows better, he doesnt need advice. He is a scammer. If you donate to him you are being a sucker.

his username at the bitcoinpoker site sealswithclubs is slick, he scammed a new kid there with the username PickleRoll

here is a link to the real chat log

http://grindabit.discussioncommunity.com/post/PickleRoll-vs-Slick-in-admitting-to-collusion-and-nonrepayment-of-loans-6284689

it's pretty obvious he is looking for sympathy to get donations, hence the $100 isn't much to you guys but it's alot to me comment and the OMG it was my life savings bit.

you've been warned

Well, I honestly have no clue what you are accusing me of. I have never been on ANY bitcoin or litecoin poker/gambling website before...
Just FYI I am not Drew.Mccuster or Matt, I am a victim of his.
I followed the link you posted but I can't make much up out of it, what is it exactly that you are saying?

Edit: I think I am getting the jist, this is the paypal email this user (matt.solowski) was asking me to send the money to which apparantly is owned by a different person called Drew McCuster?
Did matt use me to pay off a loan to Drew? I am getting confused....

Quote
Alright fine then, so how do we do this?

[3-4-2013 15:08:52] matt solowski: send 100 as gift

[3-4-2013 15:09:41] ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: As gift, well although I'm all in for handing my money to a (let's face it) stranger sending it as a gift would leave me with nothing to stand on if you decide to not pay up
[3-4-2013 15:09:50] ͇ ͇͇͇͇|σяıαпۣۜ  ಠ_ಠ: Wish there was a more assuring way to trade this
[3-4-2013 15:10:03] matt solowski: gift is just as reveresable
[3-4-2013 15:10:06] matt solowski: less fee too
[3-4-2013 15:10:23] matt solowski: I am on btc-otc want refs
[3-4-2013 15:10:27] matt solowski: sites live again

As you can see....screenshots do not prove anything.

proof that your original is photoshopped...you erased the username in upper left corner to the right of skype(TM) but replaced it with a different username below...why would u erase up top but leave it below?

probably cause you couldn't figure out how to clone.

http://s24.postimg.org/th4p22ted/GKHUYz_G.png

Oh really? Well in that case I invite you to add me to Skype, I'll SHOW you. (I'm sending you a PM).
I don't like to be accused of things I don't know anything about, especially not in this case.

I am not attacking you, so no need to play a victim here. You do not have to prove anything to me. I only posted here to warn others not to donate to a scammer. You can save your proof for anyone you want to do business with in the future. If they accept a "screenshot" as evidence or they are naive enough to fall victim to a scam that is their risk to take and you're gain to bank.

It's not about me believing you or not, the burden of proof will be on your shoulders at which time any transactions with other members might occur.

If I am wrong you will prove me wrong, over time, to the other members here...not me. Proven through positive/honest interactions and transactions not by who can win this argument.

Look at it like this, your only loss here is some "donations to get you started again"

So if your not a scammer, big deal, you had to save your own money and get started on your own dime like everyone else...

However, if I am right, which I really believe I am, another scammer has been cock blocked from pan handling others who worked hard to earn their own coins.

I find it odd that when faced with the possibility to settle this (see the proof I have) you'd rather turn away and go: "I'm right anyway no need for that"
What I am starting to think is that you are either Drew or matt trying to pin this on me, if you are indeed here to warn others of how big of a scammer I apparently am then you should also be man enough to take a look at the entire picture before you draw your own biased conclusions.

If you want to know, as I said, add me to Skype. It should become immediately apparent that your accusations are wrong on multiple levels, one being my geo-location and the other i'll show you through scree-share.
If it makes you feel any better, I have not received any donations to get me back on my feet from this forum.
Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Oh wait, this is the internet.. it's the other way around. My bad.
