I am a London-based Bitcoin and Altcoin enthusiast. Over the past few months I have been working on building a mining company, and I am now in the final stages before seeking funding. I was wondering if I have the right team selected in order to make my company successful and efficient. So far we have: 1 CEO (Me), 1 VP of Business Development, 4 IT Engineers, 2 Strategists and 2 Members in our Advisory board. Is there any workers we are missing that are vital in a Bitcoin Mine? Please let me know.
- Thanks

Mind me asking why you created a brand new account to discuss this?

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul?

Well, you'll also need someone in legal, some traders and a proper stream for revenue.
Mining is pretty much half of your trouble Smiley

I had been using LinkedIn for the past few months to discuss Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in groups. Decided I wanted to join a real forum to have other people's viewpoints.

What do you mean on mining company? You want to make a new mining pool or want to develop/produce mining hardware?

I would like to know that too. Op is based in London so creating mining farm is UK will be a bit problematic due to high energy costs.
Unless of course he would manage some off shore mining farm. To clarify things: we are not talking about cloud mining company here?

Yup, energy costs are high there, agreed Smiley AlphaKargbo if you want to develop mining hardware, I would be interested. I'm an FPGA firmware developer engineer. PM me if you think I could help you in this and that Smiley

I'm going to move/repost something I wrote several months ago in regards to coin mining in London, UK. My original post was in the thread related to the then new Bitmain miner and didn't gather any responses because it happened to be far off the main topic of that thread. Maybe here in this thread we will get better discussion going?

Location - London, I doubt any mining farm could be located there
I don't know anything about this particular company. But I do happen to have some fresh information about the real-estate/property developers in Greater London area. There is plenty of freshly build/renovated residential and commercial locations that are looking for a buyer without any current tenants. Developers are again resorting to having fake occupancy by letting trustable people to live and use the facilities free of rent&utilities. Conditions typically are: be personally known to trusted people in the construction business, be able to move out on a very short notice (few days at most), be trusted and capable of leaving the property in the "as new" condition, don't look and behave like a chav.

The holy grail of the Bitcoin mining is free electricity. Paradoxically, it is easiest to get it in the areas that normally have very high rents and costs of utilities. You won't get it on the regular commercial/residential terms, only as a temporary fallback financed by the developers/bond holders/speculators. Certainly, you won't find them advertised anywhere.

From my broader experience I'm pretty sure that such conditions aren't limited to London, UK. So keep your eyes open for opportunities like that in the city near you.

Again, the above was a general information, not specific to any particular offer discussed above.

In the months passing since then I have one more data point: certain woman artist moved her ceramic workshop from far-our rural England to rather prestigious London location, including rather large custom electric kiln. She had lowered her monthly expenses taking advantage of the promotional deal offered by the property developer management. Obviously art studio isn't industrial-size coin mining, but is quite close as far as practical incidentals.

Marketing! It always comes down to proper marketing. You will need to distinguish yourself from lots of cloud mining ponzies and scam companies if you do plan to provide cloud option.
Also, I d suggest you get someone who s been in crypto for a long, long time and know his way around alts.

IMHO, mining the right coin and selling it at the best possible can triple your profits compared to the standard profit switching algos. Unless you plan to focus on BTC only.

Finally, I hope your mine WILL NOT be based in the UK. With UK electricity prices, you do not stand a change. You either need Island or Eastern Europe.

Thank you. We have been looking for accomplished crypto-enthusiasts, but the market of experience in London is fairly limited.
We are looking at alternative countries to mine in as the price of electricity in the UK is far too expensive.
