If you've received more than 1 BTC completely randomly, out of the blue, and 100% unexplained in the past few days, post your public key below (and please sign with it if you feel comfortable doing so, otherwise it's the honor system as far as us believing it's really your key). My unsure if related topic.

To my knowledge and according to a few others, this is the first Christmas since the invention of Bitcoin that anyone has received random BTC "gifts". 2012 is also the year of the Bitcoinica and Bitfloor hacks (any others I'm missing)?

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

I posted a ;;ident command after a story of someone receiving coins. I would still be claiming BS if it didn't happen to me.

my public OTC signing address.

Confirmed: http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewgpg.php?nick=GlooBoy (ETA: he later changed his OTC signing address, but at the time, it was 1FcLLGtuAJRUW9Y2YJwAccmytnQc8PMPGr - still tagged by blockchain.info as his)

Should have posted here instead of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155112.0 (since deleted)
I'm glad that there's an open thread where that unusual, maybe unique at this coin level, event can be discussed or speculated upon, I'm guessing that maybe it was a FirstBits typo from a non English speaking party, Russian - Chinese whatever &/or black market funds that they wouldn't want to claim publicly but even this seems unusual if they had been doing a normal washing for dodgy dealings funds, no attempt at all to claim seems just incredible especially as you weren't asking for any sort of KYC info etc up front, looks like some genie or djinn is definitely working their Magick upon your behalf, congrats on your, one hopes, good fortune! 500 btc x $70 = $35,000 +

You haven't picked up any odd looking bottles on the sea shore recently maybe?
