PIVX is a pretty good contender for this space as well. Quick and cheap transactions with the introduction of Zerocoin soon it could shoot up more. Check out their site and their slack, they have a pretty good community.

There's a ton of them, but these are the main ones. Just go to google and search up "anonymous altcoin" and you'll be greeted by a nice article at news.bitcoin.com listing the top 3 and the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Or, you could just use a bitcoin mixer. Imo unless you're doing really dodgy crap there is no need for a mixer at all, nor any altcoin.

Can't believe no one mentioned Verge. Top anon coin out there. They even are built to use tor. I think it was similar to monero, based of the same tech, but monero took over. I think verge is more anon than monero currently. http://vergecurrency.com/
